    I’ve played both Pokémon Rangers: Shadows of Alima and Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. I loved both of these games for good reasons for those of you who’s played them tell me what you like about them.

    The thing that really sold the series for me is the fact that they decided explore a different aspect of the Pokémon world and had amazing characters that made the games feel alive to me.

    One of my favorite features was in Guardian signs where I could ride Latios’s back all over the region and I’m glad they included that feature in Alpha Sapphire.

    Yeah I agree with you I loved the characters and when I first played it was a little strange that I couldn’t keep all the Pokémon except for my partner. I got used to it very soon though.

    I played them all from the original one, so I got used to it super early. The fact I could change my partners in SoA really threw me off, but I could always have my favorite one with me, so that was a plus.

    I loved that feature the partners I would use most of the time was Misdrevous, Gible, and Pachirisu.

    The stories were definitely more unique than the other games. I like that you could ask Pokémon for help and that your partner was a Pokémon that you had a mutual relationship with. One thing I didn't like was that in Guardian Signs it felt like the game was holding your hand the whole time. There was almost ALWAYS an NPC following you. But yeah I like them a lot.

    I liked most things about the game the only thing I didn’t like about Guardian Signs was a mission where you went into the past and Magnezone was the boss I did it alone, but that was always very difficult. One thing I absolutely loved was after you beat the game you could go into a simulation and recapture big bosses you encountered through the game and get a better score then you had before.

    I love the whole series but I really loved SoA out of the three. I loved the story lines behind these games. They weren't like main series games and actually put a good effort on the story. I also loved starting out as a grunt but slowly working through the ranks to be a top ranger, I just wish that you could work to be the leader of the rangers. Simple side not but does any one else feel like Guardian signs was a rip off of Alola.

    Well actually Guardian Signs came out way before Alola so really Sun and Moon ripped off Guardian Signs.

    I've played all three, though I think the first one was the only one I actually finished. I just wasn't able to get into Shadows of Almia the same way I had with the original and all I really remember about Guardian Signs was the part with the submarine and how fun it was to summon and ride legendary Pokémon.
