What did you name yourself on Pokemon?

Depends. Sometimes I use names I've used before in playthroughs, like Leon, for males, or Sei for females (on those rare occasions lol). But whenever I play Yellow or Leaf Green/Fire Red I do tend to stick with "Red" for nostalgia lol.

Some other names I've used are Seth, Meghan, Tarin, and in the new ORAS games, Cassius and Mimi.

I used to name myself Katey when I was little (my real name). Then, starting in Gen 4, I kept naming myself Kittie or Kitten for some reason heh. Then a few years ago, I started naming myself Shhmew since that's what I was known as online. Now I'll name myself either Shhmew or Pixil.

Just whatever feels right I guess, haha. I actually tried naming myself Katey in ORAS but it just felt wrong so now my name is Pixil.

 

I usually use my real name, but when it comes to games like LeafGreen or FireRed or Red/Green, I use the character's true names x3 Aka Rival is Green, the girl is Blue, etc

 

I sometimes name the avatar as my actual name but other times I name the girl Anna and other names if they happen to strike my fancy.

When I choose the male character it usually changes to what show I currently obsess over. I named the male character in X as Leonard. I named my OR male character Aster (for the Easter Bunny from Rise of the Guardians).

 

I used to go with Yuko, my online name, many years ago. Nowadays I always go with Janna as it's my real name and one I feel most comfortable using in-game. Can't see myself as anything else in Pokémon, not even Sheep! Haha.

 

Whatever the character's official names are in English--the only exceptions are Silver, Emerald and Black:

Yellow: Ash
Silver: Hiro (what I believed GSC's hero was named at the time)
Sapphire: May
Emerald: Terri (so I could tell the two files apart)
Diamond: Dawn
SS: Ethan
Black: Whitlea (I felt the English names were lame)
White 2: Rosa
Y: Serena
AS: May

 

When I was little I would always name my character the official protagonist name like Red, Gold, May, etc. You know, all that. However, now that I've been playing games for quite a long time now, I've been naming myself my actual name, so that's alright.

 

I always call myself "Joey", my real name. That way, OTs are all the same for me. And I like OTs to be my own!

I've used my real name since Pokémon Green & every main series / spin-off game ever since then.

 

I used to name my trainers after their actual names (Red, Brendan, etc) I also only picked the guys. But in Y I actually picked a girl and named her after me, and now in OR I picked the boy and named him after my boyfriend.

 

I've used the name RedG for a while now. It's kind of my name for most online games, and usually appears in the form of RedG, OfficialRedG or even Redgamercat (What RedG originally stood for)

I use the name Astral for every game, simply because it looks more natural to me. I don't know why, but using my real name just looks and feels really weird... (I made that mistake in X, and I regret it so much...)

 

I always name myself as my real first name, Amelia. I'm boring, haha.

 

Ah, I just remembered I named myself Kuro-San at one point... it's just a random nickname with a long story which people often call me

 

I have and always will be Buddy, in every single game. It is my character in the Pokémon universe! Why you might ask? To be honest it just suits me, and the people around me tend to agree.
