What Did You Use Your Masterball On?

Call me stupid, but I always just instantly throw my MasterBall as soon as I encounter a legendary. Yeah, I know, you can easily catch Yveltal/Xerneas with a Quick Ball, but I just can't resist it. I never really have any trouble with capturing another legendary. I will regret this as soon as a shiny Pokémon escapes from my hands, until then, I'll keep throwing those MasterBalls!

 

I used mine on Yveltal. Back then I didn't know the catch rates and I didn't want to kill it on accident so I just used the masterball xD

 

When I encountered Xerneas I threw just 1 ultra ball and boom I caught it. I then used my masterball on Zapdos then traded it on gts for a Yveltal.

I used my masterball on Xerneas because I was too lazy to bother trying to throw a million pokeballs at it. XD

 

I always save the masterball for the hard to catch legendaries (mewtwo, kyurem etc). I keep switching games so I haven't caught all of them in X/Y but I'll probably end up using it on Mewtwo if I can't catch with other pokeballs first. Just seems appropriate.

 

I used it on Xerneas, because I didn't feel like the masterball was really necessary. (easily caught mewtwo and zygarde in a regular ol' ultra ball)

Gen1, it was Mewtwo. Gen2, Suicune. Skipped gen3. Gen4 was Palkia...5 was Zekrom. I guess I'm just really boring.

 

I haven't used my Master Ball yet on Y version although I came close to using it when a shiny Lapras used Perish Song. I caught it before the count fell to 1 though.

 

Haven't used it yet, I'm saving it for a shiny that has a chance of self-destructing somehow. Only time I'd really need it.
Haven't used it on gen5 either, which is funny cuz I've won 4 off the raffle, plus the in-game, and one from black, so I have 6 unused master balls.

 

When I was younger, I always used the Master Ball on a legendary like any little kid would have. I don't think I ever found a good use for it in the last game I played though.

 

Well, in Crystal, I used it on a Ditto. I had no idea that if a Pokéball of any type failed once, it might succeed later. So after every type was thrown at the thing, I use the Masterball. I honoured this by putting Ditto in a Master ball when I remade him in Pokegen.

In Soulsilver I used it on Lugia. Again, not too great with regular ball types.

In Diamond, I stupidly used it on a Floatzel because I was migrating all my Pokémon out and needed one more Pokémon to get a party of six.

After that I never really used it, opting for the challenge of catching a Pokémon with careful battling and crossed fingers. However in Black 2 I caught the Hidden Grotto Sneasel that I was looking for using one of the Master balls I had. I was looking so long for it and I wasn't going to potentially faint it (and with Sneasel's defence, highly likely). First turn, Master ball. I used the other Master ball on the Latios in that game, too.

 

I used mine on the Zygarde, I forgot to stock up on pokeballs before I went for Zygarde and the Master Ball was the only one there lol.

 

Your mother, and then I regretted it because her catch rate is pretty damn high. If you know what I mean.

Mewtwo, Lugia, Kyogre, Moltres, Mewtwo, Kyurem, shiny Tangela, Zygarde. All of the ones I can remember, in order of games I played. You can probably figure out which is which and what is what.

 

I don't think I've used a masterball in 3 generations. I'm pretty much saving it for an emergency, such as a shiny Electrode threatening to 'splode XD

 

I remember using my first Masterball on a Moltres in FireRed since it just wouldn't get it and it was dying. Hmmm...aside from that, I guess I never really used my Masterball. I'm saving it for something, though I was really tempted to use it on Mewtwo in X when I keep killing the guy by accident. I guess it's fun trying to catch legendaries with regular balls.

 

I recall using my Masterball on Rayquaza in Emerald and then on Mewtwo in SoulSilver. I currently have 2 Masterball's in White, one from the normal playthrough and the other after trading numerous times. I prefer catching legendaries in standard Pokéballs for some reason, maybe it's just because it looks right and aesthetically pleasing. For shinies, I would only use my Masterball if I ran out of everything else. I prefer keeping my Masterball, it deserves a special spot in your bag.

 

I used my Master Ball on Latias back in Sapphire. I just didn't have the patience after 10+ failed attempts of cathing it normally (by using Wobuffet's Shadow Tag ability) so I chucked the Master Ball on her.

I did this to all the roaming Legendaries in gen IV and V but I still haven't used it in Pokémon X since there hasn't been any Pokémon that's worth wasting a Masterball on in this game.
