What drawing/writing tips do you think are most important?

My personal experience is in art but the following applies to any skill you're trying to learn, not just art or writing.

Do not expect to be good at what you're doing for a long while.

We're never exposed to the journey of learning and improving that masters of a craft go through so a lot of people wrongly assume that it's going to be easy. You need to put the work in to improve and sometimes it feels like you're not getting anywhere. Your idols will feel out of reach but it's because of the struggle to improve that you'll come to love what you're doing. It's important to keep going when things feel difficult or impossible, otherwise you won't learn and improve.

tl;dr- learning a new skill takes time and effort, don't expect to become a professional overnight! ♥
