What Generation Did You Start Competitive Battling?

    So, this question is pretty simple, In what generation did you start competitive battling? Are you an OG RBY player? what about a more modern BW Player?

    Personally,I started out in X-Y and joined when the tier was relatively easy to understand. I had ideas from all the way back as DPP but only put it into motion in XY. I quickly became a regular tutor at Competitive Tutoring and am one of the original tutors there, getting voice before (now room owner) Eyan. However, i gave in and stopped playing Pokémon and tutoring for a while. When I came back, everything had changed and here is where I am now?

    So when did you start? What are your remarks on Pokémon at that time? Do you have a bias? What is your story? Tell me!

    A week before joining LV, I always say it and I am proud of it xD. All about prediction and fighting people? I learned it here.Before the 6th Generation comes to live and before starting to play competitive, I instantly put a Talonflame, Gliscor, Aegislash, Mega-Lucario, Greninja and Tentacruel on my list of the perfect team (Hey, I was new I didn't know that there is no perfect team xD). When I started playing, that team was so OP. Today, I can see the 50% of it being banned what is funny xD

    I started in Generation 5 when I stumbled upon Pokémon Online. I had no clue what competitive battling was before that and it was super strange to me. "What? Dragon Dance is good? I thought it just gave one extra stat point into Attack and Speed that can't be good."

    Yeah I didn't know anything.

    Generation V if I remember correctly, but that was just on Showdown. I had no idea how to build teams (tbh still don't) and I had the worst movesets on everything haha. it was a miracle I even won any battles at all, they were just so bad.

    I started in gen 6, because I thought the entire concept of Smogon was really cool, and then I kinda got addicted to it.

    I started way back in late Gen IV when a friend of mine introduced me to Pokémon Online. I quickly migrated to Showdown once Smogon moved servers & have been there ever since.

    Knew a lot when I started and am still learning.

    I started in Gen 5. One guy thrashed me in a battle and I wanted to get him back. Well....a lot of others thrashed me as well. I battled against all of them...well except one, but I won against the others.

    I was not good at Gen 5 at all. I haven't played it in about a year either.

    Gen 4 is when I started laddering but I didn't really start playing in tours until Gen 5. I still have a lot of love for my first ever tour team, Triple Weather with specs ninetails, bulky toed, and banded tar, never lost a weather war with that squad. XD

    Also, it's funny you mentioned that you got your start on PS with the competative tutoring room, [member="Bionic Puppy"]. I did too, because I didn't really know anywhere else to go before I moved on to all my other rooms.
