What if a day lasted 48 hours?

Probably won't study more.
I'll just sleep more, and spend wayyyy too much time in front of the computer.

It depends if the size of a year extends as well. Also if it good it suddenly, or is an alternate universe/planet. If it was a sudden thing and the year extended as well then I'd be able to do more, but I'd be free to procrastinate more as well. I would enjoy it for sometime, and then I'd get bored.

 

Oh, wow! I wish that were true! For busy munchkins like us, we need more time to relax and have fun! Let's just say school remained 6 hours long, then we can do homework and study for longer! And more things to do on the holidays!

Sigh... Now I want this to be a reality.

This is an odd question to me considering that the human body actually functions on a 26 hour cycle not a 24 hour cycle like the earth's days. To be honest due to the way the human body is built and functions, 48 hours would not work because we would EVENTUALLY (Half way through the day) have to stop and shut down. In order to make better use of the extended time our bodies would need to change along with it. Also it's really unhealthy to stay awake for to long, it can actually lead to insanity and eventually death. That's right, you can die from going too long without sleep. Scientists haven't figured out why but for some reason sleep is a vital part of our cycle. As to why I'm going off on this tangent? Well I do have a teachers cert that I've been sitting on due to lack of jobs in that area so I guess I have to use it somewhere.

Now as to what I'd do with that time? Eat, sleep, work, the usual stuff.

 

Assuming that our lifespans would be altered accordingly (typically lasting 70-90 years even with the longer days), that would give so many people a ton of extra time! I feel that life is way too short, and with work and school and other such things taking up a lot of time, there's barely any time for hobbies and whatnot. I'd spend my time with friends and playing more games that I haven't gotten around to. I'd also like to take up martial arts again, since I did really enjoy it and I would like to have the time to practice it again.

Yeee I'll have more time to procrastinate and much more time to study for tests/exams ;v;

 

The length of a school/work day would probably expand too. Instead of 6 hours of school and 8 hours of work, it might be 9 and 12 at least, if not longer. I could really go without all that. I like sleeping as long as I do, eating as often as I do, and working the same time as I do.

On the other hand... I could totally go for spending 12 hours in bed each day and doubling (or even times-1.5-ing) my relaxation time. I could play a videogame for more than just an hour on a workday, and maybe watch more than one TV show per day. I doubt I'd make time for a new hobby or skill though: I could do those right now, it's just a matter of putting aside the videogames and books instead, which I doubt I'd have time for even with more hours in a day.

 

MOTIVATION MONDAY FOR 48 HOURS?!? I VOTE HELL FUCKIN YES!!!

48 hours to charge after the day like Jared from Subway at an elementary school, I'll take it!

 

Just make Monday last 48 hours and I'll be in heaven for the rest of my life cause Monday is my favourite day of the week for quite obvious reasons.
