Pokémon Anime What if Ash's Dracovish was written out of script in the next series after the Journeys finale?

I don't know why this is a what if. Ash never keeps any of his Pokémon other than Pikachu between series and only occasionally reunites a few of them. I doubt Dracovish will ever make a return except maybe as a cameo in group shots of all of Ash's old Pokémon he doesn't use anymore.
