What's your favorite terrain in Pokémon games? Is it the desert, caves, maybe the ocean? What areas do you like to explore best? Which areas do you like to explore the least?

I think my favorite terrain would have to be the snowy places. I really enjoyed that one deep snow route in D/P games of Gen IV. There was that spooky house where the woman gave you a tag (i think it was cleanse tag) before disappearing the next time you entered the little house. Plus, I really liked the skiers designs. They were cute. I dunno, I just always find snow-covered terrains to be calming and pretty to look at. Perhaps it's all the whites && saturated blues.

My least favorite is probably the desert terrain. Ugh, I hate having to worry about the sandstorms affecting my Pokémon! && more often than not, you'll run into Pokémon who have a trapping ability so that you cannot escape battle. Plus, as soon as you touch the sand, there's a chance a Pokémon might jump out. I always find myself getting lost in the sand terrains (such as the desort resort in Unova) && getting frustrated because of that.

    So, what about you?

I like the ocean terrain, I have always liked anything with water so of course third generation was my favorite. My least favorite terrain has to be either cave or desert, the constant sandstorms make it hard for me to see plus the damage it does to your Pokémon, and for the caves I find them tiring for me plus the constant Pokémon you run into, reasons why I stock up on repels lol.

Yea, Desert terrain is a pain in the ass. My least favourite would likely be the cave though because encounters are EVERYWHERE and generally cave Pokémon are difficult to deal with and the mean that you have large amounts of puzzles coming up... I don't like.

Favourite terrain would probably be water. There is something soothing about the water in the games, plus the music is always beautiful.
