What is your favorite Pokemon game of all time?

My favorite will always be Diamond I think. While not the first game I've ever played it is the first game I played with the intent to save my Pokémon. I've always loved the bright feel of Sinnoh, and I will always love Eterna forest and Iron Island. I also think that Team Glactic was one of the best orginized and made the most sense

 

I absolutely loved the mystery dungeon spin offs. Having the ability to play as a Pokémon was so unique to me at the time in which I first played the games. The games have an enticing soundtrack and an amazing plot that really gets to your feelings and emotions. I almost cried at the end of blue rescue team. ;-; Therefore, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team is my all time favorite Pokémon game. It was so much fun, and I still have fond memories of the game like how long it took to reruit mew, Kyrogre's beautiful dungeon room, and the magic of the friend bow. ^-^

 

My favorite is and always will be Emerald. It was the first time I played a Pokémon game all the way to finish without getting help. Along with that it was the beginning of the special physical split, which opened the game to where it is now, and also added so many new areas, like deserts. It also had some of the best afterstory gameplay I have had in a while and still continued to challenge me long after I beat it. (never did find that roaming latias, or mirage island.)

I love games that actually give you something to do after you complete the main storyline. Both Emerald and Platinum have the Battle Frontier but Emerald's was the very first Battle Frontier and in my opinion, it's the best post-game battle facility in the entire series.

PM Explorers of Sky for the bonus backstory chapters, post-game sidequests, and legendaries.

And last but not least, BW and BW2 because I loved the plot

 

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, first Pokémon games I played(Minus Mystery dungeon I believe) and so far seems to have some of my favorite Pokémon in it such as both fossils, all the starters, Rotom, Mismagius and Honchkrow, The creation trio, GOD, the lake Trio, and Darkrai just to name a few. That and Team Galactic seemed to be one of the mroe serious teams if I'm remembering right. While I don't believe Team Galactic's the worst evil team(That goes to team Rocket) but I KNOW they had the worst goal for everything in general. YEs team Rocket ran just for profit and did horrible things, yes Teams Magama and Aqua wanted to create land/flood the world respectively, yes Team Plasma wanted to take over the world and release all the Pokémon save for their own, and yes Team Flare(Flare sweg) wanted to destroy everything to make the world beutiful, only team galactic wanted to destroy existence to rebuild in their own image.

I have to say that my favorite is Black/White 2. I never expected Game Freak to do actual sequels instead of 'enhanced versions', and the 5th gen. story was amazing as a whole. (Shame X and Y dropped the ball...)

...Though Emerald will always have a place in my heart as the first one I played.

 

HeartGold. As some one who poured hours in to gold version as a kid, this was like a dream come true. Such a fun game. Following Pokémon was so fun too. I'm so glad they did that for fans.

 

PMD" Explorers of Sky. It had a great plot with a tearjerker ending, had memorable characters (don't let Wigglytuff go without Perfect Apples ) and had many things to do after the main story was completed.

 

I completely agree with this I would choose a main Pokémon game, but I just can't choose. And, let's be honest, PMD's storyline is so much better. I loved Explorers of Sky, and the Mystery Dungeon games in general!

 

Maybe Crystal, it wasn't my first, but the sentimental value from playing when I was young. Maybe it's when my love for the games got serious..?!

 

Well, I started playing Pokémon in the Red Version, tough that isn't my favorite one of all time, that one is defenitely Pokémon Sapphire! I had above 800 hours of in-game time in my first save! And I really enjoyed the game to it's fullest! :p

 

For the mainstream games, I'd have to say BW2 (of which I have White 2).

Black and White brought us an awesome story with character interaction that was something deeper than just the same old rivalries that we saw in RBY-DPPt. It also brought my favorite Pokémon villain to this day: Ghetsis. Black and White 2 then followed it up with showing what happened in the aftermath of BW and bringing some real closure to the story. Not to mention the usual sequel/series ender of bringing us all the Move Tutors and other useful venues.

The Spin-offs are in a whole other league, imo, solely because of the PMD series. There was not a PMD game where I did not have serious feels by the credits roll. Of them, though, Time/Darkness/Sky was probably the best; churning through a seemingly hopeless future knowing that sooner or later you'll have to leave your best friend who you've come to serve as their pillar of courage? Gates got pretty close, but missed the mark by just a bit.

I also REALLY like the Pokémon ranger and mystery dungeon games, but diamond it is.

 

Explorers of Sky, and the Pokémon Ranger spinoffs. <3 I also love Y.

 

Heartgold/soulsilver is a definitely my favorite(s). I always liked my Pokémon following me. Plus we have an actual safari zone!

I would've chosen platinum but sadly my copy freezes up a lot.

 

Pokémon Sapphire, by far. That game made me laugh, cry, and scream in frustration. I accidentally ran away from Kyogre when I had the chance to catch him. And I hadn't saved before hand, and I didn't feel like doing it all over, so I just cried.

 

BW2 is also my favourite game, followed closely by Emerald. I LOVE the post game and the game is just flat out enjoyable. The soundtrack is amazing, Route 4 is kewl (I prefer White 2's more, Black 2's is just meh) and how it leads to join avenue (an awesome feature) and I could go on. <3

 

I'm a huge massive fan of PM EoT/D/S, even more so than the main series games.
