Everyone battles in their own way, whether it be with favorites, a certain type, or a competitive mix they like. What kind of battle style do you prefer? Are you one who uses their favorites or perhaps a mix of competitive favorites? Do you prefer using bulky Pokémon over sweepers, or do you enjoy stall or baton pass techniques? Maybe you find battling taboo and just go completely random? What are you preferences?

Casual, casual all the way. I'll be beaten by anyone who just the slightest into competitive. My pokemons are pokemons I just happen to have or for some reason likes. so I guess I am on the random wagon? 8D

Well, I don't really battle competitively, but whatever:

My strategy is simple: All-out offensive. (This is also why I suck at competitive playing) I don't care about defense, as long as I can hit hard, I'm good. Every turn you don't deal damage is a wasted turn. Four moveslots, filled with four different powerfull moves, to get as much type coverage as possible. 99% Of the Pokémon I EV train are trained in (Special) Attack and Speed.
Now, over the past few months, I've changed a little bit, but not much. For example, I love my Mega Mawile with Swords Dance, even though that does mean I'll have to waste a turn without dealing any damage. It's just tiny things like that, but I guess it's something. Still, I'm really bad at playing competitively.

I will also only use Pokémon I really like, and really want to use. No matter how powerful it is, if I don't like it, I will never use one. Unfortunately, I'm really picky about what Pokémon I like, so the options are fairly limited. And coincidentally, almost none of my favorite Pokémon are defensive, so that doesn't help much either xD

I love to stall, especially when I'm using my mono type Grass team. I don't do it too often though, because it's too time consuming.

    Strategy? What is that? :D

For real, my style of battling is uh... How do I say this?... Trying to win xD, I don't really have a style, I just take six Pokémon give them a good moveset and such and then I give EVERYTHING to win the battle... If only it worked more often :/
One thing is for sure, when I find a good strategy, you guys won't know what's coming to you

I like going mostly offensive with a couple of more bulky Pokémon to take hits so I can easily switch them in. For the most part I just like my moves to hit as hard as possible.

I have a slight bias towards bulky offense. I like it when a Pokémon can take a hit and dish it out. For OU tier I always use Landrus-T, Rotom-W and Ferrothorn as a core to take hits, set up hazards, and/or damage/cripple as much Pokémon of the enemy as possible for my other 3 Pokémon (usually setup sweepers) to proceed without taking much damage.

However, my favorite tier is the UU tier, where I could use my favorites such as Flygon and Crobat competitively. I use a Dragon-Steel-Fairy core (in this case Flygon-Mega Aggron-Florges) for bulky offense.

I love the insanely powerful offense to try and sweep, which usually involves setting up. I try to keep types balanced somewhat, and have availible switches with type immunities even if my Pokémon are offensive. I love set-up moves to help out too. My latest scheme involves 3 sacrifices- aerodactyl with stealth rocks and then dying, galvantula for sticky web- then dying, and whimsicott with sunny day heat rock- then also dying. Its worth the sacrifice though, as mega houndoom with solar power comes out and sweeps just about anything. If he dies, he has backup in darmanitan choice scarf (also thrives in sun) and yanmega with tinted lens choice specs, again just dealing maximum damage. Houndoom's power can be enough to break even chanseys as a special attacker.

Another thing I really love is having lots of priority. Having speed control is so nice and gets you out of so many sticky situations. I like Mach Punch Breloom, Bullet Punch Scizor, Aqua Jet Azumarill, and Fake Out M-Medicham the best. I usually end up using lots of Life Orbs on my Pokémon to get that extra oomph they may need.

I'm more of a casual battler, honestly. Yes, I breed specific natures and egg moves to a Pokémon and even EV train them but I've never really paid much attention to its IVs. Plus, I don't plan a strategy before battling. I just go with the flow

In random battles, I always start with status moves and entry hazards to cripple the opposing team, then bring out my powerhouse to wreck them.

Some Pokémon I love to use in battles as Physical/Special Sweepers are Weavile, Mega-Gardevoir, Hydreigon, Dragonite, and Aggron.
For entry hazard set-ups, I rotate between Skarmory (Doubles as a physical wall) and Galvantula.
As for the others I just rotate with whatever I feel like using. Some examples are Milotic, Banette, Meowstic(M), Gengar, and Blissey.

I like to mix strategies, which doesn't really work out when facing someone who has a specific, mastered strategy. I usually make teams of 2 bulky but hard hitting Pokémon, 3 fast Pokémon that use status to stay alive and deal out damage, and 1 Pokémon that is a fast but hard hitter. It helps when going against many opponents, due to having a little bit of everything to counter lots of sets. My teams are never very cohesive though, and don't really work together between Pokémon very much.

I'm not really very competitive, but I do think it's fun to battle, and I like to use this type of team when I do.

I keep it mixed. I usually always have some one to set up and I try my best to use my favorites, opposed to the best ones. But either way, I don't want to reveal too much about how I battle since it may give away what I'm going to do in battles I take part in, here on LV. :)

I am a huge fan of bulky offense and it is by far my favorite strategy. I do tend to make a few team based around different play styles though just to experiment with things and keep battling interesting. I am also known to run full Stall pretty regularly and even Hyper Offensive from time to time but I am best when backed by a Bulky Offensive team.

I tend to make teams that are really synergetic. I love switching and predicting, and simply annoying my opponent without gimmicks like SwagPlay. My favorite team with synergy is probably a bulky offensive team. Even though I can usually switch and take little damage instead of being one shotted, my team does get worn down eventually. I have a wish passer, and multiple Pokémon have their own forms of recovery. This type of team can really mess with fully offensive teams, so that's really cool. I might post this in the RMT section for fun.

I like using multi-tiered Pokémon (OU, UU, RU & NU) and playing in the OU tier.

Bulky offense all the way. I've been using and optimizing the same basic team since February, with things being changed over time to fit the current metagame.

I love going straight-out offensive while adding bulk, stall and support to the mix. A combination of physical and special sweepers always works as well. It's useful to be prepared for any type of scenario.

I have a mildly unorthodox fighting strategy. I like to have the majority of my Pokémon with maxed out speed and either attack or special attack. Instead of focusing on powerful moves or any strategy, I try to have as large of a type coverage as I can possibly achieve. Right now, I have four Pokémon on my team that can deal super-effective hits every turn to all but twelve Pokémon.

Well.. my Pokémon selections are all favorite based on look, I like Flying Pokémon so i'd probably have a lot of those mixed with other types.
My strategy is to try out a good combo I've experimented many times, and then I just throw a bunch of curve balls by doing moves that are off the wall. It never works except maybe once in a while. But hey, I enjoy every bit of it.
