What is your real name, why were you named that?

Hi! My name is Juhani Ilmari Vaskisalo. First name is a common Finnish one and my second name is same as my grand- grandfather Also Ilmari is the name of the god of the weather in old Finnish/nordic mythology

 

My real name is Krysta. I was given this name from a old cartoon movie known as Ferngully. The main fairy's name was Crysta so my mother named me after her.

 

My name's originally Miguel, but I lik being called Miggy. It's based off St. Michael

My name is Ryan, ans since I've made a Guess My Name and have it on my Skype, plenty of people have probably seen it. I actually don't know why I was named Ryan, I guess my parents liked it better than any of the other names... which I'm 55% sure the other frontrunner was Ben. :O

 

My Name is Areli My Mom decided to call me that because she wanted my name to be from deh bible ~u~' and my Middle name name is Yamilet and if you take let away from my middle name it's just Yami meaning Darkness in Japanese (asdfghjl i dun know y) she sai she called me that because she loves dark nights ~-~'

 

My name is Guillermo. Apparently it sounded cool

 

Adam. There's no dramatic or trite story to why I was named Adam.

It was either Adam, Luke, or C***. I would of liked C***, because people call me C*** anyway.

My name is Katelyn. I was named so because my mom wanted all her children to have a name that started with K. (My older sister's name is Krysty)

This trend was broken after me though, haha.

My mom simply thought it was very unique and pretty. (Of course, it's not so unique anymore... haha)

 

Joey. It's not my real name, my real name is Joseph, but I'm refered to by everything just short of the school register as Joey.

No special meaning. I did not, in fact, have any bouncing habits as a child, despite popular belief. I guess my parents just thought "Joseph" was too common, or too long.

 

My real name is Julian. And Giovanni. Yeah, it's a long and very complicated story, but I have two legitimate first names. Despite the fact that I prefer Giovanni by a landslide, my parents decided to go with Julian as my common name, so that's basically the name I use everywhere. However, I can choose between the names whenever I want, it would just be very confusing for everyone around me, so that's the reason why I don't do it.

 

Well, My name is Ethan. I was named after the actor Ethan Hawk, as my mom learned the name originally from him.

 

My name is Ninna Cornelia. My mom wanted to call me Nina (because she liked the name as well as the fact that it was a universal name) but an aunt suggested adding another 'n' to make it unique.

Cornelia comes from my grandmother's name so there's that.

 

My name is Janna, pronounced John-uh, and my mom wanted to give me a name similar to Joan of Arc's so Janna ended up being picked. It's a pretty rare name in most places but a little more common in Russia, which is where I was born. I've grown attached to my name. <3

 

My name is Darrell, I'm named after my dad who has the same name. We have different middle names so there is less confusion.

 

I was named Emma after the lovely Emma Watson ^____^

...I kid; she wasn't even known when I was born. My name came from a great aunt on my dad's side who was apparently very funny. Not too interesting, unfortunately.

 

My real name is Amelia, and I was named after the pilot, Amelia Earhart. Not very flattering. :|

 

My name is Brandon, and I was named after Brandon Lee in his role in The Crow. I enjoy being named after such a cool guy!
