What Makes a ROM Hack Good?

    What are your opinions on making a good ROM Hack. What do you see in a ROM Hack to appeal to your natural sense of wonderment and awe?

    I personally look for Gameplay aspects over everything else. Sure the plot is always good, but Plot should never have priority in my opinion. These gameplay aspecrs must be challenging but fair. Oh and new ways to play is always nice. Even if it doesn't partically have loads of content. :)

    A good Rom Hack must have, in my opinion,

    1. A good Storyline with a twist.
    You don't want the same storyline like you go into the grass and the professor stops you, NO, You want the twisted storyline like you can go in the grass with no Pokémon in your party where you can only run, or maybe you catch your starter in the grass!

    2. A lot of Pokémon!
    Maybe a 649+ Pokémon Rom Hack would have something fun, as more variety of Pokémon to catch.

    3. Mega Evolutions!
    If you are a person who doesn't have a 3DS, you want to look for a rom hack that has Mega Evolutions in it.
