I meant somewhere back in 2020, most of we voters have voted for our favorite Pokémon during the Pokémon of the Year 2020 voting events as of Pokémon Day 2020 to find out the winner of the most popular Pokémon overall. After the end of the vote, the winner of become Pokémon of the Year 2020 is Greninja, one of the most popular Pokémon overall, even though Greninja had not been made available with either Generation VIII main series video game, but only in spinoff video games like Pokémon UNITE and Pokémon Café Remix? As of 2021 in Japan, the winner of becoming Japan's most popular Pokémon during 2021 is Dedenne as of Pokémon of the Year 2021. But sadly as of 2022, there is no Pokémon of the Year 2022 voting system during Pokémon Day 2022, now I wonder why you think that there isn't one?
Well we have a ton of real-life issues going on this year, that may have halted several things! Plus unlike 2020 and 2021, they're working heavily on making/promoting their newest gen games. That and also, 2021 may have been a less-than-stellar turn out on votes so they decided to not do such a thing.
