Picture way back when you were younger and first stumbled upon the world of gaming - your parents might of gotten you that very first video game for your birthday, or for Christmas, or whatever the case may be, or perhaps you were genuinely interested and picked up that first controller by yourself for the first time~! Whichever the case may be, what was your first video game ever played? Do you still own or play that certain video game today? What did you think of it?

For instance, I was about 4-5 years old when my dad got a NES, and we together played Super Mario bros.and Ice Hockey, which was a cartridge that had both of those as duo games in one. Super Mario Bros. was fun though I didn't really get the hang of jumping over those pits at first, haha. Ice Hockey, I won a couple of games, he won a couple of games.. it was fun! I basically grew up with the NES and soon got games like The Legend of Zelda and even Super Mario Bros. 3~! <33

The first game I ever played was Pokémon yellow version, on the Gameboy Color. Was a magical time where I didn't know how to save or really do anything. I was so enchanted by the games back then and it got me in to a ton of other gameboy games. Before then I didn't even know I'd like video games at all. Pokémon is still my favorite to this day and always will be.

The first actual video game that I played was Rayman 2: The Great Escape and I loved it so much that it still stands as my favorite game ever :D

I would have to say that it was... Super Mario World on the SNES. I loved that game. In my opinion, it is the best Mario game because it is still the good ol' side-scrolling game, but the levels are more fun and you get to bring Yoshi almost everywhere.

Hmm... I always remember Pokémon Fire Red being my first, but really it'd be Final Fantasy VII. I never got past the first level (up until recently) but played it over and over anyways. I loved it!

I played PC games first. I think my first one was called Commander Keen or something like that. You played as a boy in a baseball helmet who had his own homemade spaceship and went to a planet with aliens. It's quite an old game but fun.

My dad had an old-school SEGA machine, and I think the first game I played was... uh... Street Fighter! I think that was it. Maybe.

That's really hard. I think my first video game I ever played as either Pokémon Yellow, Sonic 3 or Hamataro. I think it was Yellow then Sonic 3 since I used to play it at my grandma's place all the time. I was surrounded by video gamers so I've played many different games before. This was very tricky.

My first video game was a lesser-known gem called Tomba! 2:The Evil Swine Return. This is the game that makes me want to be a game developer. The game is SO epic, it has everything you could imagine:3-D, Item collecting, adventuring,Secret Weapons, Platforming, and a silent protagonist.I didn't even notice how rare it was. after I lost it, I looked on ebay and it was 40$!

Edit: Yoshi's Island, Super Mario All-Stars, and Super Mario World are the earliest memories I have of any games, but I don't remember which was first. I still own and play all three from time to time.

Mine is also Super Mario World for the SNES. I saw my siblings play it growing up, then it turned out to be one of my childhood games and it's the reason I got into gaming and adore Yoshi so much!

Mine had to be Cosmo Tank for the Game Boy. I played the heck out of that game and still couldn't beat it.

I think it was some math game for the computer; it was intended for kids so I obviously don't play that anymore. First video game on a non-PC was Pokémon Yellow, which I might play for challenges on an emulator, haha.

My first video game was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time, and I had watched my parents play it on the TV. However I did start playing it on my own, it was the game that got me into gaming in the first place and into the Zelda series as a whole. My favorite part was always riding around Hyrule field and the ranch on Epona. I was about 2 years old at the time I played the game.

Sonic the hedgehog on Sega Genesis! The times where I couldn't even get past Marble Garden Zone Act 1! Sometimes I thought the game ended there, but it didn't! I'll cherish that day I played it.
