What ways do you promote your art?

I avoid social sites/apps like the plague out of paranoia of theft :/

Usually I just spread mine around through groups on dA since I'm a member of some. I probably could do with being in more of them to spread it more lol.

Then of course there's here, but I don't post my art on any other sites right now.

 

I don't really go out of my way to except for in IRL, I have a portfolio.
Online I just post my stuff to tumblr or join forums :>

 

I don't promote my own art, I promote other people's! I think it's more fun to spread someone else's work via social media or just showing it irl. It's so nice to see someone get recognition on something beautiful.

 

I'm actually a weirdo and hardly do this. dA doesn't interest me at all and Tumblr is difficult to get into.. so I end up keeping my work to myself for the most part, though I'm working on getting a Tumblr account off the ground and start posting more in hopes of getting a little more into it. It's really quick to upload and not as clunky as dA which I've "grown out" of years ago. Can't seem to ever go back. ):

 

I actually use dA and instagram. I don't normally post my work much on forums anymore because eventually they will be ignored more likely rather than new strangers looking at them.

Over at ZeldaUniverse I would get a lot of views and praise until it all died down, because of same designs or similar concepts.

Maybe one day ill post here. Who knows.
