What will you do with your older games?

I mostly run Nuzlockes, or do storied runs (where I do a normal run, but make up a story to go along with it, one that differs from the game's story) on my older games.
The shutting down of the online services will not really after my game play, I didn't really trade much in the older games.

 

Keep them to make transfers. I restarted SS for a Cyndaquil leaving only Diamond to use as a bridge between the 3rd and 5th generations. I might do a Nuzlocke of SS at one point, or I could do a White run to make things easier on myself.

 

I never used wifi for Wii or DS games anyways so I'm pretty ok. I'll just keep playing them. Shame I got Black and White2 too late to try anything out with it but I'll live.

For the record, GBA games aren't actually very old and some sell for 20-40 bucks. Maybe if we wait long enough the same will happen with DS games

If I keep them and a system that can play them in good enough condition, perhaps (after many plays with me) My kids can find their first Pokémon journey unfolding in either sinnoh johto or unova, playing as close to the classic style as will exist in the future, and finding what it truly means, to be a Pokémon trainer. *sniffle*

 

I'll still keep them even though I can no longer transfer my Pokémon over to the newer games. Besides, I spent a lot of time on my SS, Black, and White 2 and it would be a waste if I were to just throw them away. I'll probably restart one of my games or do a nuzlocke challenge, but not before trading my important Pokémon to another game first.

Maybe I'll put them into a box and keep them somewhere hidden. So when I'm older I might find the box and play the games all over again, heh.

Or I could just keep them until DS games are considered as old or retro games or "antiques" or whatever you call them and sell them for an insanely high price

 

I will still keep them. I can always use them to transfer over pokemons and for collecting value. I might even do a nuzlocker with one of them one day

 

I'm going to keep my older games and play them normally. I'm kinda scared of doing a Nuzlocke. After all, my parents bought me those games and I might as well play them.

 

You know when I first saw this thread I immediately thought it meant the old Ruby and Sapphire games for GBA. But now that you mention it, I'm thinking of selling my old games. Already parted ways with SoulSilver and HeartGold, though I might buy them again if I can find them for cheap second hand.

 

I'm gonna transfer whatever I have left in my White 2 and sell that to gamestop, along with Pokémon Diamond and SoulSilver. Those were the only DS games I had, besides DSi Ware bought on the eShop

 

I will keep them for collection of course, and in case I want to eventually play them all of again. And for some challenges as well.

 

Keep 'em. For posterity. Nah, what I might do is play through all six gens one after another some day. It would be interesting.

 

I do the ultimate Challenge run on them, In each zone you can only catch the first Pokémon you see, and if a {okemon faints you have to release it.

That means in order to catch legendaries you're gonna need repels If you black out and those are the only Pokémon you have, then you have to restart your game.

If I find a way to keep playing them, then I probably will.

Otherwise... I honestly wouldn't know

 

I'll keep them, replay for nostalgia, do Nuzlockes, and transfer. I love them all so much. <3
