What would you say is the most screwed up moment in Pokemon?

But the most messed up moment for me would have to be Team Rocket killing a marowak.

 

Yeah, I agree that part in particular struck me.

 

Courtney was going to let the whole world be destroyed by a meteor and gave zero craps about it. But hey, all to impress her beloved leader.

In BW2, the Strange House diaries imply that the girl who used to live there was KILLED BY DARKRAI'S NIGHTMARES. Cresselia got there too late ;-;

 

The banned episodes..some of them are pretty messed up
Beauty and the Beach, with James' cross dressing for a bikini contest, and a old man that may have been hitting on Misty?
Episode 35 "The Legend of Dratini" (no english name) showed a lot of real guns, aiming them at Ash and company, at Team Rocket (also fired at them!), and at the Safari Zone Warden.
Episode 38 "Electric Solider Porygon" ..Do I need to explain why this was messed up? It has the record of most people hospitalized from epileptic seizures.

In the games, I have to say..N's Room in B/W2. It's broken down, and the music is also worn down and breaking. N's innocence and childhood were destroyed, all by one person-Ghetsis..and this desolate bedroom shows it. :'(

 

Aside from the banned episodes, it was when they decided to stop aging Ash. That forced Misty off the show, any character growth for Ash to be reset every single season, and the story to get very stale.

 

Team Rocket killing cubone's mother is probably the most messed-up part of the games in my opinion. I think that's the only time in the games that you hear about somebody straight up murdering a Pokémon.

Also, pretty much everything about Lusamine. Just thinking about what could have gone down in their family before Lillie and Gladion ran away makes me feel uncomfortable...

 

My Magikarp just got eaten by a Pidgeotto in Magikarp Jump. If that's not screwed up, I don't know what is.

 

Pokémon is just freaking DARK for a children's game. God. Like, murder, insane characters, ect.
The Pokémon Tower is just kind of...messed up. Like, HOW MANY Pokémon HAVE DIED?!!? Is this a normal thing?! It can clearly happen! What?!

@Skullbash That's nothing, my Magikarp got blown up by a Voltorb while my character was right there, watching... what has Pokémon come to now a days?

Also, I don't mean like the main games, where they faint, I mean the next thing I see is my character walking home, alone.

 

Let me rephrase. My golden Magikarp got eaten by a Pidgeotto.

 

Golden... that changes things.

 

When we killed Blue's Ratatta and then fight him in Lavender Town while he mourns the loss.

 

The Dead Mother Marowak in the Pokémon Tower.

 

The frozen Pokémon at Aether Paradise. That's probably the first time I've genuinely felt frightened of a Pokémon game. I didn't like the labs, either- it reminds me of animal testing and all that nasty stuff.

 

Definitely how Lusamine froze her Pokémon. I mean, that's straight-up Froslass level scary right there. But I think the most scary thing for me wasn't even part of the main story; instead, it was that one set of stories in Sinnoh which totally looks like a fanfiction. There's one where a guy goes around killing(?) Pokémon with a sword, and another where someone marries a Gardevoir(?) which opens up too many questions to be comfortably asked.

 

i'd say some of the most screw up moments come from the Pokédex,
you have hypno and drifloon who steal children; torracat who can bend iron bars with its punches, and meowstic who can grind 10 ton trucks to dust; or uxie, who can wipe your memory by opening its eyes, and shedninja, WHO STEALS YOUR SOUL,,

 

In Magikarp Jump, I'm not sure what's worse, knowing that your Magikarp can get eaten/blown up, or that there's an achievement (with a reward) for having a certain amount of Magikarp cark it.

 

I know its not in the same vein as the rest of these examples but.....

That one episode in Hoenn when a guy throws a master ball at a whiscash and this doesn't catch the whiscash because it eats it, when later in the same region May captures a Munchlax with a normal Pokéball....because the Munchlax eats it. Just. completely. illogical.

but in the spirit of the thread: the fact people eat Pokémon at all. for some reason thats what I find most screwed up.
