What's the funniest stupid thing you've done in a Pokemon game?

Accidently used my master ball on a plusle XD

 

Used a Master Ball on a rare random mon (I think it was Ditto?) on my first run of Red
Ran from a possible shiny? (I remember running from a purple Drowzee, but it may have been a Ditto disguised as one?) in G/S/C-can't remember the game.
I once dropped my copy of Pokémon Crystal when I was shocked to encounter a Skarmory (I legit thought it was from Gen 3 until then because I never saw it outside of Sapphire/Emerald before then) and the game froze right after I caught it.
Let my cousin, who during the point in time had little care for video games- his or others, play my copy of Emerald after I had transfered my level 75 Blaziken from Sapphire. He ended up deleting my save for one full of swears.
Using cheats on my copy of Pearl, I accidentally walked through walls while saving and entering the trading room. I was unable to leave the void, and was forced to delete my save. I had 10-15 legit level 100s from my Sapphire, Emerald, and Fire Red runs, as well as some hacked characters, and a just evolved Dusknoir my cousin trained up from a Duskull. I was upset and he was furious. (and yes, same cousin that destroyed my Emerald save from before. It was years later and he learned to be nicer with games.)

There were plenty of times I've killed legendaries before I could save and had to continue on without the legendary or lose hours of gameplay when I was younger.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time, I was given some codes to test out by my cousin (same as the other stories, lmao) and ended up ruining my game by turning my character, partner, and accidently Mesprit into Primal Dialga.

He liked messing with the games' coding via strange cheats, and it sometimes ended up destroying my love of a save file or just completely destroyed the save. I haven't touched a cheat code since the incident with Pearl..

 

Used a Masterball on a Pidgey at Route 2 and also tried to dash against the wall...lots of times

 

I've yet to make any major mistakes like what's been listed before, but here goes!

I've fainted Azelf multiple times on my copy of Platinum, and it was VERY hard to find it again.

I traded away a shiny Diance for a Hoopa on my Y copy, and only after I traded it did I realize my mistake.

 

Used false swipe on a shiny eevee I found, not knowing that it knew take down

 

Playing Pokémon Conquest on my fragile DS instead of my 3DS. What happened was I hadn't saved in a while and I had several Warriors at Rank 2. I accidentally bumped my DS against a nearby box. And the game got turned off. ;-;

Lesson: Save often. And don't play on fragile systems.

Also, I was willing I trade my Mewtwo away for a Snivy in Pokémon X. And it was for my bro. I don't think he even used it.

 

In my first game of Pokémon Black, I didn't know that you were allowed to leave the game and go to the DS menu as long as you saved. So I didn't save my game and basically beat 5 gyms without going to the home menu. Then, one day I dropped my DS and the game card slipped out, sending me all the way back to Castelia City when I was about to battle the Opelucid City gym. I was so furious that I just restarted my game (and then learned to save properly XD)

I don't have any shiny mishap stories, but my friend found a Shiny Zorua and restarted the game because he thought it was just a gender difference.

 

Used my first master ball on a Rhyhorn. *Sigh* At least when I used it on a Jangmo-o in Moon, I actually knew what I was doing. (Seriously, finding a female Jangmo-o was a pain, and the fact that all of my Pokémon were too powerful made the master ball worth it)

 

When I was much much younger I didn't know about trade evolutions while holding items. So the dum dum I was trained a Seadra in Fire Red all the way to lv89 or something like that, hoping it would eventually evolve into Kingdra.... Oh how oblivious I was.

 

I ran from a Shiny Weedle in Viridian Forest TT I was trying to get out of there as fast as I could and didn't even realized it until it was too late...

 

During my first playthrough of Pearl, the only Pokémon I had that were actually strong enough to use against the Elite Four were Infernape, Roserade and Pelliper. This made batting Lucian a nightmare because two out of my three Pokémon had a type disadvantage against his team and I was too lazy to train my sneasel (which was the only Pokémon I had that could resist his moves).

In the end, I eventually ground my team up to such a high level that we were able to beat him by brute force alone. And by then, the three of them were so strong that Cynthia posed no trouble at all to us. Come to think of it, I don't recall any trainer posing trouble to us after Lucian. I think my team had just gotten so high-levelled by that point that we were unbeatable!

 

Could've been because I was half asleep, but while battling Candice in Platinum on my Nuzlocke, I was completely confused on why Medicham's Hi Jump Kick wasn't hitting Froslass and she ended up dying (RIP Scarlett)

Or it could be the fact that the first move I used on the Totem Mimikyu was my Metang's Corkscrew Crash. I had completely forgotten about its Disguise free substitute so it took zero damage

 

Not catching Suicune in Crystal....*sigh*

 

Deleted a save file for X and Y that had my first shiny on it (Furfrou) because I was too impatient to wait and have someone help me with Pokémon Bank. I wanted to play the game, so I deleted the game with my shiny in it... Never in my life have I felt so stupid

 

I thought I could challenge the Elite 4 with a single Garchomp. I was wrong, oh so wrong. >.<

 

Well, I just accidentally traded away a Pokémon holding the Soothe Bell. Like...just just. Yesterday, at 11:56. And I still need to evolve my Chansey.
