What's your favorite generation (and why?)

My fav Gen is Kalos 'cause that's when Serena was introduced and Sylveon too!

 

We've got a tie, one for a great reason and the other for a reason some would say is not as good but eh

Unova: Unova brought great mythology and stuff. Its a cool region.

Alola: Lillie. *mic drop* (and guzma too)

 

Gen IV. It was my first gen (Diamond was my first game) and I loved the amazing new Pokémon, evolutions, regions, and gym leaders. I think Sinnoh had some of the best evolutions of previous Pokémon (Togekiss, Roserade, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Weavile- just to name a few). It had amazing legendaries (I adore the lake trio, Dialga, and Giratina). I loved Barry as a rival, he always brought energy to the table and I always got hyped battling him. And, the gym leaders and elite four were amazing and memorable, and Cyrus was one of the most chilling villains.

So yeah, Gen IV remains my favorite.

 

As for me, Gen V has a soft spot in my heart, even if it wasn’t the first game I played. I really like the pixel sprites in the game, and the Pokémon were great! I really like Black City and White Forest as editons, and that center part for missions and stuff was neat too.

Also, I found the story enjoyable and fun. Bianca and Cheren were both great in their own ways, and the game has actually been a challenge for me.

I just love the way the game looks. And how it changed during different seasons! Iccirus City was my favorite in Winter with all the snow and ice and that house on the hill you can only get through a snow hill.

 

I have a tie. Gen 5 because I absolutely love Black and White 2. I liked how it was 2 years after Black and White and that the region had changed and there were new cities and Pokémon you could catch. I loved the addition of Riolu, Eevee, and many more. Gen 6 because ORAS. I absolutely love ORAS. I loved all the new megas. I also loved the music. The delta episode was amazing.

 

Gen 4...Cause it was my first Pokémon Gen I got.

 

I have to say Generation II for me. This game blew my mind as a kid, it was the first one I really played. Also it really challenged me because I was not very good at it which made it very engaging. Also, the twist of beating the Elite Four and being able to go to Kanto blew my mind! Even though the Johto roster of Pokémon that was added lacking I still loved a lot of them partially because they were new!

 

My first thought is always gen two. Most people's favourite gen tends to be the first one they played but my first Pokémon game was yellow. I dunno why but I seem to have the most nostalgia over gen two from the music to the designs.
I really enjoyed Kalos but mainly through the view of the anime. There was a lot more the game could have done, in my opinion.

So Johto for game, Kalos for anime.

 

My favorite Gen is Gen III. It was my 1st Pokémon generation and i still play it to this day whenever i do randomizers.

 

Either Gen. 2 or 3, since those are the ones I started with. Gen. 4 is a close second though, since I loved battling in the meta back then.

 

Generation 2 because that's the one I started with as a child. Or Generation 6 because that's when I started battling competitively.

 

gen v maybe?? it was such a cool region and all :”) but gen iv is a close second, i really like the pokémon designs !!

 

Either Gen II because that was the start of my solo journey through Pokémon, my brother stopped playing it, or Gen V because of the amazing story, good mechanics, awesome characters, gymleaders that actually you gave a damn about.

 

Generation 3 over here, especially Hoenn. I just loved the look and feel of the games in Gen3, and Hoenn is hands down one of the best regions in the games.

 

It's funny. I can still clearly remember when I first played Blue, but my heart belongs to the 3rd Generation (RSE[/ORAS]/FRLG/Col/XD).

 

I Have 3 Favourite Region/Generation Overall.
But If Have To Chose One,It Will Generation 5(Unova) Because It's Story And Design Of Pokémon(Especially Reshiram,Zekrom,The Black And White Kyurem And Keldeo In Resolute Form)

 

Gen 2! Most of my favorite Pokémon are in gen 2, and I absolutely love the music.

 

I don't even know anymore. I've played every game and every generation has added something new that I inevitably love. I used to say gen 2. I don't know, Johto just always resonated with me for some reason. But I love mega evolution and the SM/USUM storylines. Then fourth gen has a lot of my favorite Pokémon in it. I guess I'd have to say gen 4 because of HG/SS. I don't think I'll ever be truly happy again until Pokémon can follow us again.

 

That Riolu/Lucario in Gen 4 has me too. I used to really like the design of Gen 2 Pokémon too for some reason.
