What's Your Favorite Older Gen?

I absolutely loved the second and third generations, but at the end of the day, I must say Johto is much more dear to me. <3

So, it'd have to be Gen II for me!

 

Generation 3, I started a full Pokémon adventure from there. It's my most memorable. ^^ Hoenn is indeed awesome.

 

Generation III too, i started with Ruby and its very memorable for me everything i play the game.
Now with OR/AS its going to be even more memorable.

 

Generation 4 because I really liked Platinum. Also Explorers of Sky came out during the gen. too.

 

Generation 1! It gave us Pokémon, and it gave us great Pokémon at that! Well, I mean, only ONE great Pokémon...

Gen 3, I started out with this Gen and it's been my baby since

 

I like the RGB gen. It gives me memories

 

Generation II for being the first Main Series games with colour & Crystal for the first Main Series game with Pokémon animations.

 

Gen 1, Was stuck in pallet town for 30 mins. Didnt know you could leave town lol.

 

2nd Generation...the most difficult Gym Leader was in there...

 

Gen 5. Black and White 1/2 were just straight up epic, and it had great music. It was also when I first got into competitive. The animated sprites were p cool too =]

 

My favorite older gen would probably be gen 4. It was when the physical and special split between moves was finally introduced and it was so needed. It also had my favorite batch of starters (Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup), and that is when the remakes of Gold and Silver came out. Heartgold and Soulsilver are my favoirte Pokémon games so far to date so gen 4 it is for sure!

 

Third Generation, Ruby and Sapphire were my first Pokémon games.

And they have the best designed Pokemons ever.

 

Wowie. Skimming through the posts, a lot of you adore Hoenn due to it being your first games. Making me feel old, people!

However, my favorites are tied between 2nd and 5th.

2nd because that's why I really started understanding Pokémon.

5th because that's when I really started getting BACK into Pokémon.

Not to mention, I met my fiance a few months before Black&White came out so there's memories attached to those. ^////^;

 

Hmm...for me it's probably Gen 4 and 5. I love Gen 4 because it has the Battle Frontier and the plots are really interesting, and I love Gen 5 because of the unlimited use of TMs and the PWT (in BW2).

 

My favorite generation is Gen 4, thanks to the Physical / Special split and the Battle Frontier, which opened up countless gameplay options, and the story that was incredibly enjoyable and epic.

 

My favorite has to be Gen II, more specifically Crystal edition. It had a lot of good changes and improvements. Not only was it the first time for girl players to be a female trainer, but also was the debut game for Eusine and everything related to Suicune; with the phone, now trainers around the regions could call you just co have a little chit-chat, which gave them different personalities; also, the pokégear is more useful.

On the other Gen II games, it was the first time when Pokémon had genre, could be shinies, or you could breed them. Also the first time when the bag had different pouches and was bigger and more organized.

Yes, that's my favorite, being Gen IV in second place. Because I don't really like Kotone/Lyra, she is really annoying for me -___-

This is a super tough tie for me between generations 4 and 5.

Generation 4 was my home generation and contains most of my main Pokémon. (Staraptor and Honchkrow)

However, Generation 5 is much more complete as a game and I have never had as much fun as I did when I went through Pokémon White on the first time in a blind playthough.

 

I really like the 2nd and 3rd gen. Then both of their batteries died, and it was all over.

 

That's a tough one. I started in gen IV, I really love the Pokémon in them, but I really like gen III as well... And gen V has my favourite starter ánd legendary...
