Mine was Pokémon Diamond. The year it came out I got it for Christmas and that is what sparked my love for gaming as a whole. I still have the game to this day!
I think I somewhat remember playing marvel vs capcom two for the playstation 2. I had no idea what i was doing half the time, but it was fun.
i played this spongebob racing game on my dad's computer all the time when i was like 6. i didn't even do anything i would just drive full speed into walls and cry laughing.
When I was but a wee child, like 3-5 ish, my mom and uncle would give me the controller to run around and level grind for them so they could avoid the tediousness of it. It was awesome for me, I got to run around fighting tons of bad guys using swords and magic.
The first game I truly remember playing was Spyro the Dragon but I have vague recollections of other games before then that I can't quite place. I've been playing from a very young age due to my father being an avid gamer in the past (I can remember playing local co-op FPS games with him, probably not the best choice for a 5y/o but hey..). Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction was one of the early ones too!
When I was younger, around 5 or 6, I would visit my nana (dad's mom) and I would spend most of the time with my uncle who was about 8 years older than me. He had a red gameboy advance sp and I would play the games that he would allow me to. My first game was Pokémon firered and I always picked charmander regardless of how hard it was for me actually advance past Brock. He is also one of the reasons why I love slaking due to his one he had on his emerald game.
It was Pokémon Crystal, I think. I remember it well; little kid me, not knowing how to save the game, replaying the first area again and again. I always chose Totodile. Then it was Ruby where I really got into games. It taught me how to read...
The first game I clearly remember is New Super Mario Bros. on the DS. I kept running on the world map between 1-1 and the start point until I realised I could enter the level... That game gave me fond memories.
Super Nintendo from Ma at 12 years old and a bunch of games. Played some street fighter, lethal enforcers, fade to black and others. That was some great childhood memories.
That was one of my strongest early gaming memories. My brother and I, and maybe even my parents (vehement non-gamers) would all play SMB2 together in the All Stars collection. Ah, those were the days. My earliest gaming memory, I think, was probably from not long before that. Kirby's Dream Land on the Gameboy. Old school. King Dedede's fight theme from that game is to this day one of my favorite pieces of music of any origin, and I still remember being unable to get through the first segment in the hidden "hard mode". Today I can almost literally do it with my eyes closed... but still, back then it was a challenge.
The earliest I can remember was between 4-5. The clearest memory is playing Tetris with my mom in the house I grew up in when I was at least 5, but I remember playing Sonic, Beauty and the Beast, and Bubsy on my aunt's SEGA (which could've happened earlier than my memories with my mom).
When I was young I used to sit next to the computer my family had for my sister, and i'd see her playing on it for days while i'm sitting outside with the family either playing with my small cars or just watching TV, Then a fateful moment came when my sister decided to leave the computer and go do homework, a 5-6 year old boy had somehow climbed up the chair next to computer and laid his hands on his very first keyboard. My first game was the Atari games if i can recall, since my sister wasn't really into gaming at all it was just to kill time for 20 mins or so a day we had nothing but those pixelized games with like, football and stuff. I dont remember how or why, but shortly after that I moved to a game called ARmsTS(or something like that) it was about green soldiers fighting brown miniature soldiers for the capture of a house and I remember me and my sister used to play that game, Mostly me but she used to tag along and I was an expert at it(for the time). from that moment a child evolved into a guy into gaming, ill never forget those Atari games and the army one(Even tho I just did) but it was my first real gaming experience with a device, I was so happy I almost fell off the chair and injured myself. even though I really didnt play much after that 1 week of learning that pixels moving on a screen can be entertaining, I still enjoyed that time, and when my parents bought me my first gameboy with Pokémon Ruby I spent hours ontop of hours playing and then got back into PC this time actually knowing what im doing lol, and I enjoyed late night(which was 8 for me) gaming sessions with my sis and mom either playing Pong, Atari or just anything really. Its a nice moment to remember, I know now that I should've been smarter and captured that moment more, Knowing now I cant ever get it back, But every time I boot up Pokémon, Ill remember my reaction when I first saw that Groudon and clicked on that mudkip.
I played my brother's Pokémon Blue back on the original game boy and when I said I wanted one for myself for my birthday, he just gave it to me right then. Been hooked ever since.
My fist video games was mario and duck hunt for NES, followed by doom 2 and wolf enstein 3d for the pc. Those games always bring me back.
