This is a true story that really happened to my friend at the last town I was living in. We shall call him "Tom", in order to protect his identity. And yes, I am involved in this story somehow.

I recently called my old foster mother to tell her how life was and how I was doing (I may have mentioned a crazy foster mom who hated Pokémon in the shoutbox, but this was not her). We got to talking a bit and I had talked to my old foster brothers. Then she told me about my friend "Tom" and an experience he had at school.

I used to make Duct Tape wallets. Nothing special, considering everyone can do it now. I had sold one I had made that was printed with Spider-Man to him. I never realized he had actually kept it until I heard this story.

One day at school-- my old school, to be exact --he had lost the wallet. It had $40 in it. He started to panic. Then at church the following Sunday, he had announced that he lost it. He didn't care about the $40-- that could have been left out altogether. He was upset because of the wallet itself-- and the sentimental value that it held because his good friend (me) gave it to him.

Immediately afterwards, someone stepped up and returned it-- with the money still in it.

If you have a similar story to share, or you have an opinion on this one, please reply. This story meant a lot to me, and I would like to hear what you guys have to say. :)

Well this is a great story and I never lost a wallet nor did my friends but I did lose $20 and then a week later I found it in my jacket.

A better man than me, some would say, returned that wallet. I will turn in a wallet I find to save a person the hassle of losing IDs and credit cards and things, but I will almost always take some if not all of the cash inside as a finder's fee. Just how it is, I'll be up front about that.

I don't have a touching wallet story, but I have a pretty funny one. One time when I was young, 11 years old, I went to a local hockey game for my city's junior team with my dad and uncle. During the intermission I wandered around the arena a bit. Had a little wallet with me, nothing really in it besides a copy of my healthcard, but I was 11, so what was I going to have in my wallet anyway? Well, part way through the game a bit after that, I hear my name get called by the announcer to come to the little announcement stand thing. I thought I had won a ticket draw prize or something, since they were also calling out names for prize winners and things they had going on. All excited, I ran up to the little booth. But all I won was my wallet back that I somehow dropped and was found and turned into the desk. When I walked back to my seat, my uncle and dad and I had quite the hearty chuckle.

Wow. That's interesting, and really nice.

I have no touching stories like that, but you know.
