Our dear friend Matthew helped LV out today. Which got me thinking...when was the last time you did something nice for someone without expecting a reward? When was it? My dad got terribly sick for a couple of weeks so when he recovered he wanted to get out of the hospital and move around. Before I went to pick him up, I took his car for a carwash since he loves it so much. Your turn!
Vig, I am a mean bitch, never have I-- ok I'm joking here, I cook for my family all the time because I love to cook
You were joking!? This is a surprise... Joking of my own aside, I helped a friend move today, getting stuff from the old place to the new one, and doing a bit of new-house shopping while we were at it. Took a lot longer than I thought it would, that's for sure - but I offered to do so, as I thought it the best thing to do. To be quite frank, I never expect a reward when helping someone for any reason ever. If I ever do, it's a negotiated exchange, which is completely different since it's clear going in what the terms of the agreement will be.
I bought a coworker lunch a couple weeks ago cause someone stole his money from his bank account. I don't do this often, but he pushes carts and that's hard to do on an empty stomach.
Helped a friend and his fiancee move the other week. I was the only one smart enough to bring a toolbox to disassemble some of the furniture otherwise it wouldn't have fit. Worked for nearly eight hours to move just about everything in the storage pod, but the beer at the end of the day was totally worth it.
I have a habit of helping people at the Central Station. They often do not know which side of the tram stop they need to take. Seeing as there are at least 10 different ones that stop on that one stop...
