Gen 7 Where does this generation land on your list of favourite gens?

I'd probably say it's about a number two or three. It will be hard to dethrone gen 4 in my mind, but these were fairly good story wise at least.

 

It'd have to be either 3rd or 4th for me

 

1. RSE/FRLG
2. SM/USUM
3. DPP/HGSS (primarily for the latter)
4. GSC
5. RBY

 

As @/Hraesvelgr said, I wasn't too wild about Gen 7. It was certainly a good and refreshing gen after VI, but it certainly isn't in my top three. Maybe number four ^^

 

Alola is probably in my top 3, though I'm not sure if that's because I liked the region... or the "advances" in design/features/mechanics that just happened to come with it. Regardless though, I still think it was and still is a fun region to explore and play through.

 

Personally, it might be the 4th on my list. I love HGSS, and gen 5 is my absolute favorite, and gen 3 was the one that solidified my interest in Pokémon.

 

Most certainly not in my top 3, honestly. I daresay that it's 6th place in my list. I just like Gens II-VI a lot better than this one, as odd as that sounds .

 

Probably in my top three! I just wasn't fond of a lot of Pokémon in some of the other regions. also i cant remember the story lines too well.

 

I think Number 2, Black and White will always be my favorite, Then Sun and Moon, And on number 3 would be Sinnoh!

 

Probably somewhere near the low middle. Gen 7 was refreshing as it introduced new features and a huge quality jump, but I found myself disliking many of the new features. Along with my biggest nitpick, the game literally being Ultra Red and Ultra Blue to pander to the Genwunners that left generations ago and aren't coming back, It was hard to enjoy some of the game compared to Gens 4, 5, and 6, my personal favorites.

 

It's number 3 on my list of favorites behind Hoenn (1st) and Unova (2nd)! I definitely enjoyed the change of features; they provided a fresh take on an old formula! Also, it gave us some awesome stuff like the Alien Dragon Bee and Disco Clown

 

Um I'd say 4 Here's the list.

2. Kalos
3. Hoenn
4. Alola
5. Kanto
6. Sinnoh
7. Johto

 

This one rates near the bottom. Don't get me wrong, I liked this gen. I just felt like there was more they could have done with it.

For me, it is probably third. Like others have said before me, its really hard to remove Ruby, sapphire and emerald from my top slot, but this was a really good region and I think it deserves its place as third on my list

 

I completely agree.

 

Gen 3 and ORAS remain my favorites overall, and BW2 remain my favorites to replay, but gen 7 is pretty high up there. I'm a sucker for the tropical aesthetic, the characters were compelling, the designs were good overall (except you, Bewear), and the story was good. The dex overall needs some patching up even after USUM as I still don't feel super attached to it as a whole and can see myself sticking with nearly the same team on repeat runs, and the linearity makes replay value fall, but overall they're solid entries in the series.

 

I'd have to say probably number 4 for me.
