Where is Prof.Oak in gen 6?

    So after some long hard thinking, i just realized something. I have not seen one cameo, reference, or even mention of Prof.Oak in either X/Y, and OR/AS. I have seen some references to Kanto, Jhoto and other regions, but nothing that mentions the good old professor. Could they be saving this for something? Maybe an esteemed remake? If you beaten the Delta Episode on OR/AS then check the spoiler tags for more on my thoughts.

    After we find out that the Hoenn in ORAS is part of a different dimension, it makes me wonder if Prof.Oak even exists in this dimension? I mean yea it sounds ridiculous but I have heard nothing of the good old professor in any of these games O_O. The other theory could be that Gamefreak is saving Prof.Oak for either a Red and Blue remake remake, or they could be saving him for a much later time, or he is irrelevant to these games and doesn't even need a cameo yet. Either way what do you guys think of this?

    What do you guys think though? Where is Prof.Oak in this universe? Why hasn't he been mentioned yet?

    He's probably just derping around in Kanto and/or Johto, haha. I find it very hard to believe that he doesn't exist in the ORAS universe. :) The original RSE didn't have him there either, if I recall correctly.

    I feel like Prof. Oak will pop up again in Generation 7 where I believe that the Kanto re-remakes will happen again. There might be a minor Prof. Oak Easter Egg somewhere in the next game, but I don't think he is relevant as of now.

    I look a lot like Blue according to my friends, so let's see if I can say this from his perspective.

    Oh, Gramps? Yea, he's fine. He's been calling Red a lot lately, getting mad at how he never finished his Pokédex, but other than that's he's just his old, happy, forgetful self. Now if you excuse me, I have to get back to the Viridian City Gym.

    Professor Oak has been a Pokémon Professor in games in the first four generations, give the old man a break! He's just not a traveller like Looker, he doesn't head off to different regions all the time. I mean I haven't seen Professor Elm in Gen VI either, why would he be there? Every region has their own Pokémon Professor, so there's no reason for them to travel away.

    Maybe Oak is biased against younger professors like Sycamore and Birch, and prefers to distance himself from them wretched whippersnappers.

    Really though, I have no clue. Re-remakes of R/B might be a good reason as to why.

    If we're going off the previous pattern of remakes, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum are up next, where Professor Oak made an appearance (I think it was Platinum). My best guess is that he'll be in either the next games or the DP remakes. Even if it's an alternate universe, it may just mean an alternate Oak!
