If you watch a decent amount of anime, you've probably been there before. You're sitting there, getting really into that awesome series you've been watching. You finished the last few episodes and you're all hyped. You begin to wonder when the next season will air, so you decide to do some research. No results on a release date, not even a confirmation announcement. You begin to lose hope. You start to wonder if there's even going to be a next season. Sometimes instead of a confirmation announcement for the next season, you find news about a confirmation that there won't be a next season. ... -ahem-. Well, it doesn't always go like that, of course. But you get the idea. What are some shows that you've been very patiently waiting for a next season? What are some shows you know won't get a next season, but you really wish they would? For me, the #1 show that comes to mind is Rokka no Yuusha. Rokka no Yuusha was a great show from start to finish, and it really kept you at the edge of your seat a lot of times. I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again. When I tried looking up news about a 2nd season, there wasn't anything positive in the results. Unfortunately, I was informed by a few sites and a friend of mine that it didn't sell too well in the US, somehow. It baffles me because it was a great show imo. It's one of the shows I always recommend to people. It does annoy me that there more than likely won't be a 2nd season, because the first season left off on such a huge cliffhanger... Another one would be DanMachi. Another great series, and this one is actually pretty popular. So many people would want a 2nd season of this, and I really don't see why it hasn't been made yet. But I still have hope for this one. The anime hasn't been renewed yet, but it also hasn't been cancelled, so there may still be a chance for us to see Bell and Hestia in action again. A few other honorable mentions: No Game No Life Death Parade Owari no Seraph Kokoro Connect Himouto! Umaru-chan
My picks would be Elfen Lied- ended on a cliff hanger different then the manga ending High School of the Dead- Ended with more chapters and a weird OVA Angel Beats- Rumors of a second season or a spin off Fruits Basket- Manga had WAY more content to go off of, never got covered Negima Magister Negi Magi (Kinda)- The negima series has two manga series and one anime series, the anime series they went with I wish would reboot since it is not at all like the heart wrenching manga. It deserves either a reboot or a second series to follow the better of the two manga
Akatsuki no Yona. The ending was so rushed, I'd love for them to extend the series so I could get a satisfying finish. I mean come on. They barely fit Zeno into the plot.
School live-this series definitely needs another season. It literally ends with you seeing a new character. Come on guys! Angel beats-while I am excited that the manga is getting translated into English, this show is a must on my list for second seasons. Re:zero-I know this show is still going, but no matter how they end it, it is going to need a second season. Considering the LN isn't done though, it probably should be after the LN is finished. Mekaku city actors-while this show kinda sucked, it's ONLY because of how short it was. They skipped so many important scenes and made the whole haruka and takane arc wayyyy too long. They really should've again waited until the LN was done considering the latest volume explained literally everything that was going on (well most of it) and they only had like half an episode about asami when it really should've been a good 1-2 episodes explaining what she went though. They also needed less one on episodes for each character because characters like kido and konoha were barley fleshed out as much as they should've been.
I am currently waiting for the second season of One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and The Devil is a Part-Timer! These were all good pushes to get me more into an anime scene and I enjoyed all of them. One of these ended on a pretty huge cliffhanger and season two was already confirmed, meanwhile the other two haven't so far had much of a big ending and I can wait as long as need be for them to come out.
I have to agree with No Game No Life and DanMachi. I would also add SAO 3, Celestial Method (what would be done in it, I have no clue), Log Horizon (season 3), and Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers. I'm sure there are more, but I won't remember them unless I get a notification from this website that I use for next season notifications. So far the only two anime that have actually gotten a second season that I wasn't sure about are Log Horizon and Food Wars.
I don't watch much anime, but I've been waiting for Attack On Titan to get a 2nd season for quite a while ;; as far as i know it's basically confirmed, so all i need to do is wait, and wait, and wait....
I agree with a lot of the above, though a personal wish from me would be another season of the Ace Attorney anime. Was it really good? ...no. Would I recommend it? ...no. Did I love it? Absolutely! But why only cover the first two games, when there's a perfect trilogy they could've done too? I highly doubt there will ever be a third season, because certain plot points were left out now that would be essential to the third game, but still... I really want more animated courtroom shenanigans!
