So I made this thread so users can discuss what genie (landorus, thunderus, tornadus) they prefer!
Feel free to list reasons and how that genie has affected your team on showdown/X&Y my personal favorite is lando-T because of its versatility.

NOTE:please dont say things like this Pokémon looks cool, therefore i like it. i made this post about competitive battling.

I prefer Therian Thundurus, because I in general prefer electric Pokémon and I do I love that Volt Absorb ability to death. Screwed over so many with it. That was before XY though, I haven't really used it much since BW2 where I had one on my electric team.

Same! I have an electric team on Showdown that I love using even if I'm not very good with it haha. But yeah Thundurus-T has helped me so many times and I love Volt Absorb.

i love volt/waterabsorb and any ability that absorbs an attack! i never really got to use thunderus T ever because i figured out about showdown after x and y and i had no1 to trade me a thunderus i generally like ground types so its natural for me to be attracted to lando i also love the idea of a flying type being immune to electric! ill try using thundurus on showdown (perhaps ill create a mono electric!

You should, Thundurus T do well on such teams especially if is a team meant for doubles were you can pelt him with Discharge to keep him alive.

hmm... pair thunderus with a Pokémon with a ground type that would work wonders! however, i forgot of thunderus remains flying when hes in therian mode.

You could also pair him with a Pokémon that gets the ability Lightning Rod. You could Discharge all over the place. Thundurus-T would regain health and the Lightning Rod Pokémon would gain Sp. Atk boosts.

    Exactly like Manectric.

Landorus works well, but for a mono Electric team an Electric type would be good haha! Alternatively Raichu gets Lightning Rod. Also Jolteon and Lanturn get Volt Absorb as well as Thundurus.

Oh I know, but you mentioned you wanted a mono Electric so I'm just throwing suggestions for that out as well. xD
Hmmm. Banded Volt Tackle does sound scary, but it doesn't get the Lightning Rod boost since Volt Tackle is physical. Maybe Choice Specs Discharge?

Ooooh, Motor Drive. That actually wouldn't be a bad idea either though, for another teammate. Electivire and Blitzle/Zebstrika get it normally, while Emolga gets is as its Hidden Ability.

Lol I missed the whole thing while asleep it seems, but yeah you can pair Thundurus T with a ground type too but pairing it with other electric types that have absorbing abilities that either boosts or heals them can really screw over your opponent.

    I prefer Thundurus.

    Prankster T-Wave is too good.

Landorus-T (aka LandoT/Landoge) is my favorite out of them genies. Really versatile and bulky, not to mention it packs a punch. Scarf, Rock Polish sweeper, SR setter, Bulky Pivot, he can do it all. I personally use this set:

    Landorus-Therian @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
    Adamant Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Knock Off
    - Stone Edge
    - U-turn

Bulky pivot at its finest. I usually lead with this guy because I have a Ferrothorn in my team which people usually mistake as my lead and usually send Latios. They usually think i'd switch or do an attack that latios can take, which is true for generic landorus builds; so they usually click surf or draco meteor which could OHKO it.

    252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Landorus-T: 220-259 (57.7 - 67.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    252 SpA Life Orb Latios Surf vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Landorus-T: 205-242 (53.8 - 63.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So yeah, tanked with HP to spare. meanwhile,

    252+ Atk Landorus-T Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latios: 304-358 (100.6 - 118.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Yup, killed many a Latios with this. Thundy-I is in the same vein, which people usually think it's my SR setter instead and Ferrothorn is a spikes setter. So they usually click either prankster taunt or HP ice which OHKO's... if it's the usual Lando.

    252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Landorus-T: 265-317 (69.5 - 83.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

But nope, Landorus survives HP Ice and retaliates with an OHKO with Stone Edge, obliterating a broken threat.

Landorus is the best Genie. You have got to admit it! I mean, it gets Life Orb + Sheer Force and 3 extremely useful moves that get the boost as well (Earth Power, Focus Blast, Psychic, and Sludge Wave if you wanna slay some Fairies). It's also really well against common OU leads and prevents set-up, and also outspeeds Breloom to avoid a Spore and dent the switch-in.

    Calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 309-367 (87.7 - 104.2%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
    252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 100 SpD Mega Scizor: 207-243 (60.3 - 70.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
And Mega Scizor can't even 2HKO it back using Bullet Punch which does roughly 42.3% at max.
    252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Keldeo: 333-393 (103 - 121.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    (assuming it's switched in)
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Skarmory: 203-239 (60.7 - 71.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Earth Power vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Greninja: 302-356 (105.5 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    (assuming it's switched in)
    252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 183-216 (47.9 - 56.5%) -- 34% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    (Stone Edge does 40.1% max.)
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Charizard X: 367-432 (101.9 - 120%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    (wow...)

    Need more I say? :)
