Curious to see if you all were more a fan of ORAS or XY, because I've heard very little negative comments on XY and heard ORAS get some harsh critics. Personally I like XY waaaay better than ORAS. Yes, ORAS had the better characters and a bonus story for the post game, but I dunno. XY attracted me more in a way I can't really describe. It sparked my love for Pokémon again when I was kinda done with BW(2) because I couldn't connect my regular DS with wifi. I remember getting X and playing from 7am to 5am the next day, sleeping 2 hours and then beating the E4 and Champion before midday, it was glorious. The new Pokémon, mechanics, visuals, it was all magical and because I was playing alongside my friends from the website I was a part of at the time via Xat, it felt like I wasn't playing the game on my own, but rather with everyone on there too and battling them every time we defeated a gym. Honestly that first playthrough is probably the best memory I've gotten from playing Pokémon, truly magical and within my first week of owning the game, I'd already poured in over 70 hours into the game. Maybe it was because AS didn't have the worldwide release date XY did or I wasn't as close to with the people on that site anymore, but I felt disappointed with AS and instead of beating it almost within 24 hours after I got it, it took me over month to finally complete it, it didn't feel the same. In total I have about 450 logged on AS and over 1700 hours on X and whenever I want to play Pokémon, I always play X instead instead of AS.
So what about you? Are you on team XY or ORAS?

I loved ORAS and X and Y. But if I had to go with one I'd go with ORAS with revamped nostalgia.

It's a very difficult choice. I have fond memories of X and Y (plus some not so fond frustrating Nuzlocke moments) but by sheer number of times played I felt that the story of ORAS was more appealing. ORAS also has a better Elite four, Kalos was almost disappointing, and easy. especially with my beast of a Blastoise. Many of the things that were most hye about XY ended up being more of a nuisance then cool (Pokémon riding I'm looking at you. Especially Mamoswine) So in the end I'm choosing Team ORAS. Plus contests are awesome.

If only they had contests AND custume outfits, You could look really cool then.

I prefer ORAS over XY, but the difference between them is slight for me. I like what you dan do in ORAS better than XY. I love the new Pokénav more the Friend Safari, and I also really like Soaring. I liked the Looker episodes more than the Delta Episode though.
Whenever I have to play Pokémon for whatever reason, I always find myself grabbing my AS file.

X and Y was a fresh Pokémon experience, and I loved it the first time through. However, the storyline was frankly quite weak, especially if you compare it to the games that came out before and after it, B2 and W2, and ORAS. ORAS is getting my vote here today because of the story mixed with the nostalgia factor. Emerald was my first game, and although I never played Ruby and Sapphire, ORAS had enough things in it that I felt it was a new game, while being a remake. Pretty much one of my fav Pokémon games.

I will give props to X and Y for the massive Pokédex and I love the new Pokémon. I just found it to not be as good as ORAS.

I really preferred OR | AS over X | Y, mainly because I never got nor played X | Y, but because I just really love sequels much more than new games. ORAS's postgame is just enough to make it so much more appealing, both gameplay and visual wise.

I prefer ORAS because of X/Y's leveling issues. You end up either overleved or underleveled and it really ruins the replay value for me. There's so many Pokémon to use but the game just isn't fun with those leveling issues.

I loved my playthrough of Omega Ruby, and merely liked Y. I'm saying Y is up there among my favourites, but Omega Ruby might just be my favourite Pokémon game. Shame I'll only ever get to play it once, though... my first Omega Ruby file is the one I'm currently sitting on a completed National Pokédex, and by the end of this year, will hopefully be completed (except Hoopa).

it may just be bias, but I prefer ORAS because of the way it expanded on III gen
the mega evos, flying over hoenn, and the integration of VI gen into hoenn

I honestly preferred X and Y better. Although there were more flaws, it was a nice experience. It was really refreshing. Although ORAS brought me some nostalgia, it wan't the Ruby and Sapphire I remember. In fact, it seemed a little too easy with the removal of the safari game, pokeblock game, among another list of reasons.

I like both games, but I think I prefer OR/AS due to having a better story and the fact it's an improved remake. X/Y's still fine, but there were so many flaws with it like its weak story, how easy it is to level up your Pokémon was, and the fact it felt rushed. Overall, OR/AS is a better game.

They both are very good games. I like omega ruby and alpha saphire more than xY. ORAS got good storyline and i had good experience playing it. XY is also good although it has some flaws i like it. But ORAS is good than XY from my point of view.

Honestly, I would have to say I enjoyed my alpha sapphire the most. Part of it was the hype, part of it was the nostalgia, and part of it was that these games were awesome to me. In the end it only takes a slight lead over my Y version even though I hardly play it anymore.

If I had to choose... I'd say I enjoyed ORAS more.

Don't get me wrong, XY was great! When I first played X, I was blown away by the new 3D graphics of the Pokémon and the Pokémon-Amie feature. Everything was just new and refreshing and really got me into the game... until Team Flare's relevance to the plot ended. I was expecting to hear a lot more about the legendaries but throughout the whole game they weren't mentioned that much.

As for ORAS... I was very excited for this because hey, they were remaking the very first Pokémon game I owned! And boy, did they deliver. I loved the cutscenes they put in this game, the diving mechanic, the Eon Flute, and the return of the Regi-tombs. I loved the post-game Delta Episode and the "final boss", space germ.

But, ORAS wasn't without its letdowns. I was really disappointed when I realized that the Battle Frontier wasn't in the game (and they teased about it in-game lol). I was looking forward to it the most. I also didn't like how they simplified the Super Contests. Maybe it's just me, but RSE had more challenging contests.

I think I would favor on X and Y much more, because it have some of the best features available (Trainer Customization and Trainer PR Video, among all things). Besides of that, X and Y are still quite new that it's refreshing to see.
