Pokémon Anime Which Pokémon do you think that Ash should've or shouldn't have caught, kept, released or evolved?

Well let's break this down.

1. I have discussed this many times. There are way too many for this but when it comes to Pokémon I think he should have caught the biggest one is Latias from the movie. Given what context the movie itself has I think it speaks for itself.
2. Lapras. I think he could have made an interesting Pokémon to bring in every once in a while as a sleeper when he needed
3. I think he should have just just released everyone except pikachu and went home after kalos. That series ended in a very shitty way that made me lose a lot of love for the anime.
4. Squirtle if he kept him because imagine a blastoise running around. Strength battle much.
5. This last question doesn't really have any strong contenders in my book.

I know I won't really answer all questions, but I think all of his Pokémon should have been full evolved and none he should be released, like charizard and pidgeot in the first gen. He should evolved, bulbasaur, and squirtle

He should've caught:

• Houndour in Johto, since it would've helped Ash with tracking down kidnapped friends,
• Xatu in Johto, it would've been a great catch because it can fly & teleport in emergencies,
• Absol in Hoenn, to help detect danger

He should've kept:

• Lapras, since travel overseas on it's back would be quicker to arrange than tickets for a ferry,
• Beedrill, since Ash would've had more variety amongst his bug types
• Larvitar, since he did raise it, and it would've been a real powerhouse!
• Naganadel, since it could have migrated it's friends to live in Alola until they got strong enough to survive on their own.
