Now, we're all fans of Pokémon movies, but surely there's gotta be one you don't like... right? Personally, I'm not a fan of Pokémon the Movie 3: Spell of the Unown, the story is just kinda weird. I mean, an Entei Dad? That's just so odd. Also, although I like Pokémon the Movie 14: Black - Victini and Reshiram & White - Victini and Zekrom, I don't like the fact that they're two different movies. Like, just make it into one good movie!
I agree; the dual Zekrom/Reshiram movies were weird. I never got it. It was literally the same movie, with a different dragon and some Shinies in each. I didn't get it and thought Pokémon as pushing the yin yang thing WAY too far on that. Arceus and the Jewel Of Life was actually an okay movie, once you get past the entire confusing-as-all-hell plotline and the time-travel stuff. Pokémon, just stay away from time travel. Far away. You've shown us what you can do with it, and I am not a fan of what I see. #MissingNo
I wasn't fond of the Hoopa movie. Granted I missed part of it, however it made little sense from what I can remember, and just seemed to go at fans by including a TON of random legendaries. At least OR/AS put that into use by letting us encounter legendaries via Hoopa Loops. @Pixel what about Spell of the Unown didn't you understand? I've watched the movie a TON of times and could possibly help out? Spell of the Unown and Power of One are my favorite Pokémon films besides Lucario and the Mystery of Mew just because that one is a tear jerker for me.
Wasn't that much of a fan of Victini and the white/black hero. Felt like there really wasn't much of a point to reverse dragons and a few other variables for the same plot and premise. Haven't seen many of the other movies either except for the first one, so I have no clue if they're good or bad
I haven't seen some of the newer movies, but of the ones I've seen, Genesect and the Legend Awakened stands out as the worst. Even without the let down of the new Mewtwo being far inferior to the old one, the movie just felt so bland and by-the-numbers it just felt like a waste. Why are the newer Pokémon movies so repetitive in their storytelling? I know coming up with constant new ideas is hard, but still!
After the keldeo movie it went a bit doen hill for me. Mostly because they have a worse story than the older movies.
I really didn't enjoy the jirachi wish maker movie, it was so weird, too many plot ideas mushed into one and Max was too annoying for me to laugh at like I was supposed to.
I think black and white were the last ones I saw. I really liked all of the Sinnoh movies since there seemed to be an actual progression to them, but I think the entire 5th gen and anything marketed around it up until black 2/white 2 just wasn't that good. It felt like it was constantly being forced on the viewers with how infrequently they ever showed Pokémon from other generations and making TWO OF THE SAME MOVIE. The story line wasn't that great either. It was a little too simplistic and they hardly ever showed the dragons at all, in spite of the movies being partially named for them and there being 2 movies specifically to showcase the two of them. And what was even the point? Both of the dragons showed up in the anime later on anyway. The movies are supposed to be something epic and worth devoting over an hour to. Instead it was just like a really long anime episode.
Obvious answer is obvious, but yeah, Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. There is literally nothing I can say about this one that everyone else hasn't already said. It's atrocious.
I don't like Zoroark master of illusins and hopa clash of ages. The reason why i don't like Zoroark master if illusion is beceause i felt like thes tory was rushed. They didn't explain how Zooark and Zourura got seprated, and didn't explain where they lived. The reason why i didn;t like hoopa and the clash of ages is because i felt like the story line was rushed and way too many legendary Pokémon. They should have stick with hoopa and the dark hoopa.
Most of the recent ones have been pretty bad. Honestly the last Pokémon movie I did enjoy was Zoroark: Master of Illusions. I think the worst though would have to be either Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction or Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. Both of them were awful.
I have only seen about six or seven of them, but my least favorite of those has to be the Diancie one. I still thought it was okay, but there were too many villains and they were all either not very threatening or named Yveltal.
