Which Pokemon's regular colours do you think are better than their shiny colours?

Also, the Shiny Kommo-o line is just...blegh

 

I really don’t like shiny bruxish. It’s colors just look really weird.

 

First off, I'm going to entirely skip Gen 1 and 2, most of which I am lukewarm about at best.

Mudkip (and many others: Wailmer, Spheal, Kyogre): Magenta/pink? Really? Why?
Pelipper: Green makes no sense. Blue is good for a pelican, green makes no sense. Foggy grae would be better.
Aggron: Super badass Pokémon, somehow with such a not-tough scheme. At least if he was made pink we could say he's made of a useful, industrial metal like copper.
Groudon: Yes, make my titanic god of the very earth itself be the color of the most-ignored crayon. You replace strong scarlet blood red with a fading-bruise yellow. Shame. At least they improved Primal.
Krookodile: Making its "sunglasses" light totally breaks the attitude it had.
Kommo-o: Like Ozonefruit said, it's just not good. The same ugly yellow as shiny Groudon. Replacing militaristic tough grae with fading bruise.
Solgaleo: The bright red works for Lunala (lunar eclipse is red), but not Solgaleo. Maybe a weird desaturated blue-grae like the sky near a total solar eclipse? It literally looks like someone spray-painted this lion red instead of anything vaguely organic.

 

I don't like the green they used on Jolteon personally. Looks gross. Then again most green shinies suck. Haha
I don't like the shiny Piplup line much either and I think the original colours are far superior. Turquoise could have worked on them, but the way Game Freak used the colours just ended up making them look silly. Empoleon is the worst offender of the bunch. Eck.

 

Feraligtr’s normal Color scheme is way better than its shiny. The shiny should of just changed his scale’s color black but the again, I have a huge bias for all the black shinies.

 

I've got to add Espeon to your list. A gold or blue shiny would have looked fantastic, but green? No thank you!

 

Shiny mega Rayquaza. I don’t think the black/red colour scheme fits what Rayquaza is supposed to represent. I don’t really like the non-mega shiny Rayquaza either, but at least it looks slightly less edgy.

 

Wait? You don't like it because it's edgy. I don't really find anything wrong with it being edgy. It's not necessarily a bad thing... the color scheme just looks dope. Like how shiny Charizard is such kickass shiny.

The colours look better on Charizard IMO, since it looks like a typical dragon, and the colour black is used very often in other games involving them. I don’t think the colour scheme fits Rayquaza, it looks like something from the ground, and Rayquaza represents the opposite of that. On the other hand, I think the black/red colour scheme fits Groudon more, as it looks like lava in between rocks.

 

Weavile. Why would they make such an awesome and clean Pokémon.... pink and gold. It's not even a nice pink. I wish they had given weavile a more sinister color scheme.

 

I really don't like shiny crobat. Pink and green were just not meant to be together.

 

Sylveon. That pink cutie is super beautiful.
But I dont like it much in blue colour.

 

Shiny Chansey is literally a deviled egg.

 

Shiny Garchomp is one I don’t like. You can barely tell that it’s shiny because the colors are barely different. Only when it Mega Evolves can you tell it’s shiny and even then it’s dumb because it’s pink and purple which don’t make it look cool at all. I would’ve preferred a red and black color it may be weird, but that’s just me. If people think that the colors aren’t different from the original well they are normal Garchomp is dark blue with orange.

 

Regular Cinccino vs. shiny Cinccino....ugh. ): I really wish they kept the shiny form pink like Minccino was. Not a fan of the mustard color some of these shinies have.
