Gen 2 Which starter are you picking?

Cyndaquil. He's awesome in GSC (though he got outclassed by the time HGSS came out, sadly... ).

Seriously, pre-split Typhlosion was great. Flamethrower + Thunderpunch is a great combo.

With that said, I always feel bad for Meganium... he always gets forgotten.

I was in love with how cute Chicorita was but my favorite has always been Totodile. Maybe the anime made me love him but I just have to if I play those games.

 

I usually pick Feraligatr for journeys through Johto, but I'm gonna have to go with Typhlosion this time around. His utility in the Gen II format is just too good!

 

I always pick fire type starters (cause my first game was Diamond and Pearl, and I picked Chimchar, so yeah) so Cyndaquil! Best starter!

 

Probably, Chikorita this time. I actually love the thing.

 

Cyndaquil was my very first starter (Pokémon Gold was my first Pokémon game) and they'll always have a special place in my heart but I gotta go with Chikorita this time c:

Hmmm... I might go for Cyndaquil again, as I usually use it in my Gen 2 runs, but maybe it would be interesting to use either Totodile or Chikorita in this run. Hah, seems like I still would have to decide lol

 

I know I should pick Chikorita again just so I can have someone to learn cut early on, but I like Totodile too much.

 

Gameplay-wise, I wasn't that all impressed with the Johto starters. But when I played then; Cyndaquil was my go-to pick

 

I've used all three, but me and Cyndaquil have a lot of history.

 

I usually go with totodile, but I think I'll give Cyndaquil another shot. Starting with Chikorita would be a bit too frustrating and there are plenty of other grass types on Johto to catch.

 

Totodile! Gonna chomp on all those who oppose me!

Not that I don't like the other starters. All are nice choices in these games

For me it's a toss up between Cyndaquil and Totadile. I like both lines, and I've had Cyndaquil's on my Crystal when I got it. (I think it had two Typhlosions on it when I got it.)
