Which stat ( HP/Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed ) is the most important in your opinion? When it comes to battles, stats are of an extremely high importance. Stats can make the difference between who moves first, a knockout, a survival, and so much more. Do you tend to give EVs in a particular stat? Which stat do you think is the most important in battle?

I would say Speed. That little bit of speed can really help in a match sometimes.

If I really had to choose one, I'd say Speed. I mean, no matter whether you're defensive or offensive, physical or special, being faster as your opponent is always a good thing. Even if you have the best Attack stat in the world, if you're too slow, you might already be taken down before you can even land an attack.

Well, it really depends on the Pokémon... Speed is of great importance to Aerodactyl, but hinders Aegislash.

I personally like the attacking stats though.

I'm gonna be different xD I'm gonna say defenses, because you can have the fastest or strongest Pokémon in the game, but if its defense are so low that everything can OHKO it, you'll still think twice about using it.

Unless it's a slow tank, Speed is absolutely the most important stat in my opinion. Being able to get hits in first could be the difference between victory and defeat.

That said, it's pretty ironic that most of my OU team has pretty mediocre or bad speed...

I'd say that defenses are important, because if a Pokémon can take a hit, it can do more. Even if it's a little bit of defense, but tanks can ruin someone's day if you don't have high enough attack... and then there is the move counter.

Depends on the Pokémon but I would say speed, unless a trick roomer comes around then you're screwed.

I personally like special defense and defense. I mainly use defensive Pokémon because they last a lot longer in battle compared to really frail sweepers.

Speed. Attacking first or second is very important.

Just like a Blitzkrieg, Speed is the most important stat to me, as speed-creeping is my favourite thing to do when battling. Attack isn't everything as some people may think.

Speed is nice, but I like my curse gyro ball ferrothorn to much to say that. The defensive stats are great, and stall ruins lives.

Well, there are so many ways to looks at stat boosts and all of them lead down to what kind of Pokémon it is. Most people say speed is necessary, but for a curse setting munchlax speed is a hindrance and the EV's can be focused else where. (And it is inverse, trying to boost SPD on a greninja for starters.) Eventually it boils down to the teams synergy and the trainers play style. I prefer a healthy mix, while others prefer pure stall or speed. (Etc.) However, there is one stat that matters the most in-game. HP. The objective is to lower this stat to zero, meaning increasing this stat therefore increases the possibility of survival more than the other stats (arguably anyways.) So that's my answer n'stuff.

It heavily depends on your playstyle, the Pokémon you're using, your offensive and defensive cores on your team, and your movepool.
For example, speed can be null and void on most bulky offense teams (and reversed completely when you are using a team that switches priority over to whoever has the lowest speed [AKA Trick Room]), and thus forcing you to have a high HP team with a powerful one-two walling core.

Hyper offense is all about hitting hard and fast, while preventing you from getting rekt by stallers.

Speed (with priority). If you can't outspeed anything (in trick room too) then you can't do damage, period.

I like to experiment with strategies, and that means that stat priorities are always changing for me. There is no overall most important stat. It all depends on what Pokémon you're using and what you're trying to do with them.

I've always been a speedster when it comes to competitive- well- anything game related.

In Pokémon, I'd be totally willing to run a whole team of fast powerhouses. The slow game is a boring game to me.

As such, I'd say speed, attack or- because I don't have a good defense- HP are most important to me.

I'm not super great at competitive, but from my limited knowledge I think that speed is probably the most important stat. Sometimes all you need is a little speed to deal that final blow before the other person does the same to you.

I don't how you can answer to this question in general, I read most people saying speed, woul u really want a max speed chansey? Or even a max speed Crocune? Someone said defence and special defence, would u like a specially defensive deoxys attack? Or even a physically defensive breloom?

Also gen 5+ had a great transition from speed to priority. The fact that 100 speed tier is becoming kinda common in ou and that the Lati twins are looked upon as slow in the current meta really gives priority moves a major space to come in.

Answering to question however I would say hp, unless I am a speedy full out attacker I would always invest in hp before anything else.
