I stole this idea from PokemonFan26 (thanks by the way) and make a second installment of it. So the 2 Pokémon this time are Delphox and Gardevoir. Who do you think would win? All you have to do is answer the poll and after 3 days we will see who won. Let's get this started!
Ooh, tough one this time. These two specialists seem pretty evenly matched, though I'll have to go with Delphox since it has the most resistances to Fairy and Psychic moves. Then again, Gardevoir are capable of using Shadow Ball as well, if TMs are in consideration. I suppose it all comes down to who's faster... *Checks the 'dex* Yeah, Delphox is faster. There's also Gardevoir's Mega Form, but we'll leave that out for the sake of fairness.
I think Gardevoir would win. It would probably be really close, but Gardevoir has higher special defense and attack as opposed to Delphox. Although the latter may be faster, if Gardevoir can put it to sleep with Hypnosis or something, set up some Calm Minds, and launch some Shadow Balls, then it'd win, I think. But as I said, it'd be a really close match, especially depending on their natures.
This is the closest match I've seen in awhile. I'd have to say Delphox has the initial advantage, since both can use Shadow Ball, but it depends on how many Calm Minds either can get off, or if as @vaporwave said Gardevoir can get off a Hypnosis (though I don't know of any competitive set that runs that move - 60% accuracy is a pain). With that said, Delphox gets Signal Beam as an USUM MT, so it may have the bigger advantage there.
Attack stat means nothing. Both get Calm Mind, and Shadow Ball is the best option for both of them to hit the other with. The differences in HP and SpDef cancel each other out, and Delphox's Speed edge is more important than the extra 11 points of Special Attack Gardevoir gets. Delphox wins.
Based on everyone else's reasons, I'm going with Delphox. (Never played Gen 6 so I have no clue myself) Also, Jordi, thanks for bringing this idea back to life. My thread was dying, if not already dead.
It's a close match for sure. To me it would moreso come down to the trainers at this point. While I voted delphox, either could win if they had the right trainer.
