Why do you think the fifth gen games are often considered the worst?

I agree with some of the others as well. It's the Pokémon for me. Honestly, to play B/W I have to import non Unova Pokémon to play with because I just hate the selections you have. B/W2 is better, I actually love B/W2, but I can't stand B/W because of the Pokémon selection.

Besides the Pokémon in Unova's awful designs, I think the story could have had some improvement as well. Black and White 2, it's global freezing!

I loved the map, and why it's based off of NYC, and they even managed to get represent a town where I love in~ But that could have set some people off.

Lately, I've been thinking about Unova, and I have to say, that it's a great region, but for some reason it's unappreciated.

Y know you make some valid points and i respect that. Gen 5 is my second all time favorite Gen of Pokémon. People complain that they couldn't use any older Pokémon. But lets be realisitic here when Red and Blue came out for Game boy. you suddenly had 150 of these weird monsters you never seen before or knew what they did. i think along the lines people got too spoiled.

as for other things I really liked the plot it was really fresh compared to the usual to be a master. course its still very simple, but it was a blast to actually have the villanous team and the box legendaries as the final bosses and i did find them interesting certainly a lot more then previous teams.

If there is something i can agree with you is Yeah the games were a bit to linear. you did just go from point A to B a whole lot and catch stronger mons to replace weaker ones. and there really wasn't to many fun diversions, outside of catching the musketeer trio weather mons and visiting the other half of Unova post game. and unfortunatly for me i really couldnt acces the online til gen 6 so BW's features were lost on me. It doesnt help either that there were so many event Pokémon. (looking at you Zoura) that one had to miss if you didnt have online.
