I knew that The Cult song "She Sells Sanctuary", despite not having charted on any American weekly pop song charts like the Billboard Hot 100, but only instead having respectively reached numbers 36 and 43 on the the American-based Billboard Dance Club Songs and Dance Singles Sales charts, have been currently played by The Apple Music 80s Hits station, making it a non-charted pop song in the United States. So, by the way, I'm just wondering why you think that The Cult song, "She Sells Sanctuary" was an 80s non-charted pop song in the United States?

Similarly as your last topic, this isn't really a pop song it falls in the rock/punk genre. Just because something gets put onto an 80s music station doesnt make it pop really, its just from that era. I think it didnt chart in the states at the time was because they had massive competition that year and were not a high charting band in the states yet, they wouldnt be until 4 years later with Fire Woman which got 46 on the top 100.

Why the interest in 80s music lately? I am curious :D

Because I’ve always enjoyed listening to the 1890s-today’s mainstream and eclectic pop music and precursors, that’s all.;)

The Cult's "She Sells Sanctuary" is well known, as it plays on channel 33 First Wave Sirius XM. Yes, it didn't get top 10, but it's still popular. It does get airtime and is sometimes a #forgetmenot on First Wave. And, honestly, have you actually looked into the lyrics?
