WHYYYYYYYYY?!?!

School Day's. Not gonna lie, once I got into the 3rd episode I kept on thinking to myself why the hell I was still watching it. The storyline was too predictable, and too cliche, it was honestly a regular life of teenagers who can't keep their heads out of their ass. Though I was quite satisfied in the end, when I stopped watching it and no more episodes came afterwards

 

Hmm, I've had several, all of which I have not continued (one of which because I haven't gotten around to continuing.)

I heard that it was the original trapped in a video game anime from someone at the local anime store. I decided to watch it, seeing as I was so into SAO at the time (and now i love both SAO and LH). However, when I was watching it, I just couldn't follow it at all and it just felt awkward. I can understand douchy MCs, but setting up a douchy MC without making a lick of sense to story or anything... Just watching the first episode made me think 'why am I still watching this'.

Black Rock Shooter
I watched the first two episodes and I honestly couldn't understand what was going on. It felt like there was a joke that people were telling that I didn't have the background knowledge to understand. I just couldn't continue watching with all the confusion that I had about it. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
I heard this was a classic anime, I hadn't watched it yet, and I decided, 'heck why not'. I didn't detest it, I just haven't gotten around to finishing. It had interesting characters that I found funny, and what I found of a story was interesting. The only thing was that the situations were... let's just say I was glad me and my sister watched it when our parents were out shopping...

Okay... this is like Haruhi Suzumiya times 10... And I thought that watching it public was a good idea!!! The problem was that the situations are funny, but they are held out for too long... It dries up the humour...

 

Rock Lee and his Ninja pals..... Its beyond ridiculous, I only watched a couple episodes though....

 

Elfen Lied, Genocyber, Betterman, Desert Punk, D.N.Angel, there's been a few animes I've watched that I had to reconsider my sanity either during or after I had finished watching an episode or several. Not that I didn't dislike the likes of Betterman and a few others that I could mention, but haven't here, but yeah, some stuff I've watched would definitely be considered a strange choice, even for me.

 

Kill la Kill, from the first to final episode. I didn't like the series at all, especially the first half, but somehow made it through with a friend anyway (we watched together). People kept saying it would get better so I decided to give it a chance again and it didn't even come close to being as good as I expected with all the praise it was getting. Any other series I've seen I can justify watching but KlK? Weh.

 

This. THIS THIS THIS. It has a lot of faults, and whilst it may not to be the worst thing out there, for me Kill La Kill is the pinnacle of poor animation. You remember that episode of Naruto where Pain is like "THIS PAIN I FEEL IS GREATER THAN URS!!!" or something and the quality is so bad his face turns in to a horse? You know...this one?



You see this? This is Kill La Kill every episode. Unless there is some sort of big fight going on...this image sums up Kill La Kill's animation quality.

Why am I reading this however goes to Attack on Titan. It just got super boring and lacklustre, and the art style is pretty bad too. Wouldn't recommend it. I'm not a big fan of the anime either, but it definitely tops the manga by a lot.

 

Highschool DxD. A friend recommended it to me as a joke, but of course that got me curious, so I checked it out. I'll get straight to the point here: at first sight, Highschool DxD seemed more like a failed porn than an actual anime. Literally everything was revolving around boobs, I didn't really know what to think of it. Oh and by the way, there's no covering up or any kind of censoring in this anime, just so you know.

But, for some reason, I decided to watch a bit more. Unfortunately no, the sexual influences in the anime didn't go away, nor did they lessen. But I started to realize that that was not all there was to Highschool DxD. No, behind those many, many breasts, was an actually really good storyline, with great characters and some epic battle scenes. Season two only got better, with reviews on anime sites giving it scores of 10/10!

So guess what? The entire first episode, I was severely questioning my life decisions, and now I'm super hyped for the upcoming season three!

I hated myself when I finished it, and I wanted to forget about the ending. You should watch it, it'll ruin your life.

 

Madoka Magica, I finished it and absolutely loved it. But there were some moments of "why? why am I watching this?".

 

Lmao Pantsy and Stocking, seriously watch and you will be questioning everything. Just seriously watch it XD

 

Chäos;HEAd takes the cake for me. To summarize it, it's about murders that somewhere along the line are forgotten as if it wasn't anything significant at all and it's about people who can distort reality with their hallucinations. Yeah, I had my "why the hell I am still watching this?" moments

 

If you watched Kuroshitsuji you'll have your self thinking that really. I'm addicted to the shows characters but the theme is SO dark and gory.

 

Higurashi no Nako Koro ni. I first picked up this anime when I watched a top 10 list of the most insane anime characters, and one of the characters in this anime happened to be in a lot of them. So, I watched the first few episodes and my brain practicaly melted. The storyline was borderline terrible, the characters were generaly unlikable and unrealistic, not to mention EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, IS GOD DAMN CRAZY. It goes from a happy bubbly school life anime then all the sudden people start dying. I couldn't make it through the anime, it was too much for me to handle.

 

Honestly, Madoka Magica with me as well. Mty friend told me to watch it so I looked it up and thought that it looked boring. There were several scenes in the beginning that were downright boring to me, and I wondered why I kept watching.

Then it hit me. And when I wondered why, it was not from boredom.

 

Qwaser of Stigmata is the only one that comes to mind. Seems at any amount of glances to be ecchi. But if you can look under that, it has decent plot from what I saw, and cool battle scenes. Sadly though, this anime wouldn't have battle scenes without the ecchi (watch or look it up to understand), and the plot wouldn't progress without the battling. I didn't finish it. Both as it lacked english translation after like episode 10, and me not thinking the plot was worth anyone seeing that on mt phone for.
