Spoilers are super easy to find, especially with how broad the internet is. Have you ever stumbled across spoilers for something you were watching or reading, and when you got to that part, thought "Aw man, why did I have to already know this?"

Personally, I'm notorious for going ahead and finding out what happens in the anime I'm watching way before I actually get there with the show. But I really wish I hadn't known what would happen in Sword Art Online when Kirito duels Heathcliffe for the second time so that I could be really emotionally charged for that.

I was playing PMD: Blue Rescue Team blind. It was awesome, and the music was awesome too. I listened to the music, and was browsing through the comments til I saw...
a mention of gengar coming back to save the player. I had also seen that Rayquaza was the final boss. I was shocked, considering Gengar had recently turned everyone against me. When I got to those parts, I was still satisfied, and slightly surprised in the way the had gengar save the player. (Gengar says he's taking you to the dark world, but it turns out he actually saved you)

I've got two experiences with this. The first, I accidentally ruined an ending for somebody.

Back when the final Harry Potter movie was out and there was a little fad of just throwing "Dumbledore Dies" into random conversation and internet posts, I actually genuinely ruined that for someone. I thought since the fad was so widespread it would already have been ruined, but oops.

And another big big one that was ruined for me. Do not open this spoiler if you haven't read Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Not if you don't plan to read it, because you should totally go to your local library and pick up those graphic novels. Period. No question. Go read the whole thing then get back here and click the thing I wish wasn't ruined for me.
I'm serious, go read it all. The my ruined spoiler will be here.
Have you read it yet? I'm not kidding. Go read it. I'll wait.
That was fast. Okay, click away.
Dream's death at the end of "The Kindly Ones".

This was ruined for me by my browsing of Wikipedia pages. I was like "What... what?" And as I was reading, although it was heavily foreshadowed I was still like "NOOOOOOO! IT CAN'T BE!". Also, that's one of the few times that literature has almost brought me to tears. Heavy stuff. On the upside though, I got to empathize with the character, as we both had a foreboding sense of his coming demise.

I felt like Despair had her hook in my heart, and Death wasn't around to make me feel better until the end.

In my case, if I don't care about the spoilers too much - usually because I will never watch the movie in question (or play the game, or whatever applies), I won't be bothered too much. I'll just poke around and read more about the thing, like reading Wikipedia or TVTropes articles about it, and I won't care too much.

If I do, though, I'll avoid those places, as well as anywhere else I think that spoilers are liable to be said or leaked at. I have been known to run into 'almost-spoilers' before - that is, things I didn't know concretely, but that I could guess would happen later anyway. Technically those are still spoilers, though if I run into those I'll be less mad about them than a full-blown spoiler I had no knowledge of.

Honestly I has wish I had watched SnK earlier than I did, because I knew a bunch about it before I started it. And accidentally spoiled it for other people. Oops.
But yeah, that would have made several plot points better for me had I not known.

Every Game Of Thrones thing ever.

Also, some things I wish I didn't know have ruined some musical artists for me. With "scandals" and other problematic situations, I've lost respect for huge artists and companies. Honestly, I wish I didn't know it before because I'd rather enjoy their music instead of worrying about whether or not I should support their cause.

I'd accidentally found a lot of Warrior Cats spoilers while still trying to read the books after they'd already been out for years, mostly via YouTube comments on related videos and/or video suggestions/"Recommended for you" in the sidebars. It got to the point where I didn't really need to finish reading the first arc since I already knew how it ended, but I did anyway for the sake of not skipping books. The books themselves (specifically the Super Edition stories about the original four Clan leaders) also occasionally spoil what happens in the other, interlinked stories, such as there being a couple for Bluestar's Prophecy inside of Crookedstar's Promise. TvTropes and browsing the series' wiki also revealed a lot of things I didn't want to know yet, so I plan on staying away from most Warriors-related parts of the web until I'm done with the books for good.

    Also, accidentally coming across Mario & Luigi: Dream Team spoilers several times while still playing the game. ;;

As I was playing Bravely Default, I went to go listen to music. In the comment sections, I found all sorts of spoilers and my life was ruined. I wish that some people would use the spoiler tag.
