World of Eda Suggestions

I can help with the magic system and developing lore for the world

 

I wouldn't have a problem with writing some rough lore, if you could tell me what you'd like to base it off of.

 

Okay, I'll wait till we get some suggestions, and then go from there

 

Multiple continents would be nice! We could start with one, but spread. Ancient runes are awesome! I suggest some of those.

 

Could there possibly be a rift between two or more alternate galaxies or solar systems? These worlds would link with and allow other species or characters into the World of Eda. I think there would be increased character development that way and also more room to explore. Just a thought.

 

I'd like to see some sort of area of the world/plane this takes place on consist of a "shattered world" scenario, where the area's made up of free-floating "islands" that have their own local gravity and so on and so forth.

Also in terms of characters/profiles, I'd like there to be a bit of easing on what people can/can't use. I've seen a lot of RPs in the past, here and on other sites where restrictions are placed on what species/beings people can play as. Obviously I'm not saying members should be allowed to RP as deities or something similar, but I'd like limits on the character profile sheets to be fairly loose and open

 

Whenever lore needs writing, I can help with that.

As for suggestions... Some of them have already been listed - multiple worlds, portals between worlds, that sort of thing. I'd like to see a sort of "Netherworld", where all (or most) of the evil beings originate, or where the spirits of the dead reside. Multiple factions or cultures would be nice, too. That could create some serious plot points.

 

How about having a day care building or something like that next to the school?
Like say someone's character just got a new pet or just tamed an animal but for whatever reason it refuse to listen or it having trouble activating it's powers, the building is there to help them out. And the reason why I say it's like a day care because it's more common in baby animals.



Just a suggestion.

 

Do you think I can have more information on this if there is some? Like Im not sure if there is a plot planned already or it will kind of devolep on its own as we go along this rp etc. And can we have differnt races since it is a rp? And since its medivl will it be like magical sword or some sort of weapons and stuff like that or what? I just need to know more information about it before I can make a suggestion. But I guess one I can think of without knowing much about it would be Maybe to have different nations and rulers? We can also be part of those kingdoms and factions and have some type of war maybe or some sort of conflict? I always thought Rps with factions or kingdoms were kool. Each kingdom with their own belief or something like that sounds intresting ^^~

 

I think it would be better if classes didn't restrict the spells or equipment you can use. For example, you could have a Healer that has their normal healing spells, but also has offensive spells, however, they'd be less effective with them than a Full-fledged Battlemage with offensive spells.
Just a thought, it would feel less restrictive that way.
