Who remembers back in gen 1 just earthquaking everyone? It was a great move then and is still a great move now, with its 100 power and accuracy. However, there are also the scuds. *magikarp used splash*.. So what other moves do you think are just a plain waste of space?

Constrict. It's really quite pathetic. With just a measly 10 base power and just a 10% chance to lower the target's speed, which is something that can be done by other much stronger moves, it's one of the weakest damaging moves in the game. I know not of any other move with that low a strength. I wonder why it even exists.

Rage. I mean what? How do you even use it effectively? How many times do you need to do it right for it to outpower Tackle and Scratch even, let alone something that's useful after level 10?

I never saw the benefit of helping hand. Maybe under the right circumstances, but I just don't get it.

Feint, before it got reasonable. Back when it would only hit an actively protecting/detecting opponent it wasn't much good. Sure it can make your opponent go all "What!" but it's not much good beyond that.

I'd rather not Fling my item at my opponent. It's only good once per battle and I'd rather have a useful hold item and four good moves than have no hold items and three moves plus one single-use move.

My pet peeve is Bestow. It gives the opponent the user's item. It fails if the opponent is holding an item already. We already have Trick AND Switcheroo, so what was the point of a worse move in gen 5?

Frustration is pretty awful IMO. I would rather not have my Pokémon hate me for the sake of one move. Besides, it's rather hard to get your Pokémon to hate you after you've been grinding for a while.

    Splash

In my opinion, the worst move has to be Protect, it kills the pace and can make a battle needlessly frustrating
