Worst Pokemon Design

I never liked Raticate's design. It's just looks like a rat. However, that's not the only problem with it for me. Every time I look at it, all I look at are the teeth. What if those teeth were to slip... That would freaking hurt.

WAIT! I just remembered Lopunny. That sexist rabbit shouldn't even exist.

 

Hitmonlee has always been strange to me. I think it's really creepy looking and just weird It's like a potato with legs and arms!


Bastiodon's face is so annoying I get the concept but I think it's a bit too literal.

I was never really fond of Voltorb's design. He's just a big Pokéball with eyes, its just weird. I still like him as a Pokémon though.

 

Combee. It's utterly ridiculous. Just look at it:



Honeycombs with cartoony smiley faces and little bug wings. I hate it. Also I have to say that Voltorb and Electrode are pretty damn lazy designs.

 

I don't like Karrablast. It's just... useless as a Pokémon. Obviously Gamefreak just needed a Pokémon that could evolve into Excavalier, so they could complete the Shelmet-Karrablast gambit. But the same thing could have been achieved if Shelmet just had a split evolution. Karrablast is just pretty useless. I don't really like its design because it does a third-rate Heracross impersonation.

 

volbeat and illumise are pretty dumb, they barely look like bugs. i never liked them.

 

Hitmonchan and Primeape. I just don't like how they have boxing gloves. It doesn't feel like an animal now. Besides, Hitmonchan's skirt disturbs me.

 

i wanna add geodude too, i never really liked the fact that its just a rock with arms, like, as an artist who wants to draw all of the Pokémon stylistically, how can i even get creative with that?

 

As much as I liked battling with it, Pinsir is really stupid-looking imo.
I can't come up with the words to describe my dislike of this design...
As derpfully fun Sableye is now with Prankster, I never really understood his design.. He's like a phantom covered in diamonds..
I feel like the concept was good, but I think this design could've been better.
It is a face. It is literally just an angry face.

 

elctrode is more uncreative than voltorb in my opinion, mostly because of the eyes. Buy my least favorite has to be timburr's line, they just disturb me with the muscles... :hugeshock:

 

Caterpie and Weedle.. They look nearly EXACTLY the same. They could've done SOMETHING to differentiate them more.

 

I agree so hard.

I can overlook any other Pokémon's design except Lopunny. I absolutely hate it.

 

I really hated Probopass. It's gross.



I'm not even going to go the Garbodor/Muk/Weezing route...

I was always bothered by Jynx's design >_< I don't know why. It freaks me out. I've never used it in-game purely because of how strange and creepy it looks.

I also just really don't like Magmortar, Hariyama, Exploud... basically anything that just looks plain ugly. I'm using a Garchomp in Platinum right now and its back sprite is just... just... UGLY


But at least those had effort put into them; in terms of the WORST design, I guess I'd have to say something like Voltorb (a Pokéball with eyes) turning into Electrode (an upside down Pokéball with eyes)

 

I still use it, but I agree that Jynx looks really freaky. Smoochum is awesome, and will always be awesome, but it's like she grows up (evolves ) into this creepy lady

 

Oh god Probopass, I had forgotten about it. It's like a weird ugly mishmash, like the person who was to design it couldn't think of anything so they took inspiration from a Mr. Potatohead. The result is like a Jewish caricature statue with a piece of Lego on its head. Just absurd.

 

There are quite a few designs I dislike, but my absolute least favorite? The Lillipup line, with Herdier being the worst. I. Hate. Herdier. Why? Because it's just a Yorkie. There's absolutely nothing to its design, that screams "Hey! This is some kind of monster, with unique and special abilities!"

No. I look at it and see a real-world dog. The same can probably be said about Pidove, but at least its evolutions are decent. The Lillipup line is just....ugh. I get that most Pokémon are based on real-world animals, but Herdier was just....I mean at that point, they should have just named it "Dog".

 

I love that bunny. This rabbit has a lot of promise. Unlike a certain gen four rabbit that evolved into a sexist piece of crap.
