Back in the days of Generation 1, what would you consider the very worst Pokémon in the game?

Beedrill was a really shit Pokémon back then. The entire type of Bug was pretty crappy actually having almost no moves, something like 3 or 4 in total and all of them sucking.

I also never liked Tangela, but it wasn't as overall shitty at everything like Beedrill.

Just like Doima said bug types were awful. The only one with some ok stats was like Scyther and maybe Pinsir, but there weren't any good bug types moves. Butterfree, Beedrill, and Venomoth were pretty useless. I guess Parasect had spore but that was about it.

Dammit I was going to say mr mime! Actually all the psychic types back then were pretty bad minus abra. Drowsee is just plain creepy and I could never catch a bloody abra anyways. At least jynx was more useful in battles and there was that whole controversy thing that made it more...historically significant (idk. As 5 year olds controversies are these strange and wondrous things) :P

As for bug pkm. I liked butterfree, pinsir and scyther and maybe a few others so I didn't have many problems with them.

I really don't like Jynx. I just think that it looks really creepy, stupid, and obnoxious. It has the longest cry in the game, which is annoying. I don't even want to look at Jynx, let alone listen to that ridiculously long cry before I can even get rid of it/run away/whatever.

(I've not played Gen one, so I'm going on Firered/LeafGreen)
Muk. Not only was it a disgusting Pokémon, but Koga's Muk left a bad taste in my mouth the first-fifth time I fought it (Goddamn Toxic). I could never actually use poison types anyway (Drapion was the first poison type that I could use properly), and so that doesn't help.

I never thought Jynx was creepy, or Mr. Mime (I still don't really find Jynx creepy, but Mr. Mime...). I actually had a Butterfree on my party for a long time on Firered, so I don't really have anything against it.

I really did not like Hoppip in 2nd gen. It was basically a Grass type Magikarp...Glad it improved later on.

I didn't really like the Bellsprout and Exeggcute lines. The Grass Pokémon, besides Bulbasaur etc, weren't that phenominal and I greatly preferred the Fire and Water Pokémon. I also thought Farfetch'd was pretty useless and was hoping that it would evolve into something Honchkrow-like at the time (even though Honchkrow succeeded it). But Generation I introduced us to Pokémon so they did make a lot of memorable Pokémon in the end.

Hmm... Lemme think... I got it! ALL THE GRASS TYPES. With the exception for Bulbasaur. I like Bulbasaur.

My point is, there's a heckload of Grass types in Gen 1. And they're all terrible. I mean, Tangela is hard to beat, but that's it. No use for them at all.

...Sandshrew is the one I disliked the most...I never beat it in the Champion fight in Yellow to this day...the only goddamn Pokémon that survives is, guess who...bloody Pikachu...and it don't matter what moves he has....it sux, I got him to lv 86 and I still couldn't beat Sandshrew...that is one Pokémon that would come close to being hated...even though it is impossible for me to hate Pokémon...

Jynx was really a terrible Pokémon back in Gen 1 and to me, it still is. It's stats and typing were never that great so it kind of sucks.

Probably Jynx for the reasons already said XD Mr. Mime is weird as well but I'll let him off the hook since I found him amusing in the anime when I was younger.

For the record, I don't like the MAJORITY of the original 151, but let me say this straight, there are Pokémon of that generation that have suspiciously plagiarizing names. As the (near) plagiarism implies, Paras looks and sounds similar to Paris, but with another "a" instead of an "i". Gloom, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Golem, Slowpoke, Seel, Haunter, Onix, Drowzee, Hypno, Krabby, Koffing, Weezing, Horsea, Jynx, Ditto, and Mew all appear to have suspicious names that plagiarize from actual words.

Furthermore, Metapod looks like a crescent roll with a nose, Oddish looks nothing more than just a round sphere with feet and leaves protruding from its head, Dugtrio looks too much like Diglett, but with three of them, Magneton looks like three Magnemites stuck together (although its evolution Magnezone actually looks awesome), Voltorb looks too much like a fake Poké Ball and its evolution Electrode looks like a Poké Ball turned upside-down, Exceggcute is just a gang of six broken eggs, and Kabuto looks nothing more of a trilobite-like ring that you can easily put on your finger. Oh, and one more thing, Pikachu is just WAYYYYYY too overrated, sorry attention whore Pikachump.

    HOWEVER
There are some Pokémon from the original 151 I deem as my favorite. I personally like Meowth because I like how the one owned by Team Rocket can walk on two legs, can talk in human language, and he's just one cool cat. I also adore Arcanine because it looks so damn fluffy, I just wanna hug it. Machoke and Machamp appear pretty likeable to me because of the speedo-like things they're wearing that allegedly turns me on. But the G1 Pokémon I like the most is none other than Electabuzz. Why? Because he's the most badass electric Pokémon in the First Generation, at least. Blastoise, Nidoking, Gengar, Rhydon, and Aerodactyl are all honorable mentions for my favorites.

    Muk.
Why does Grimer even need an evolution? Did GameFreak only make it so that Koga could have another Pokémon?
Though I guess Grimer isn't much of a gym-leader-ish Pokémon.
