Would you change any characters' Pokemon team?

Gym leaders and rivals all have set teams they use, but would you change any of the Pokémon on their teams? Maybe there's only one Pokémon you would change, or perhaps the whole team? Do you feel that a rival or protagonist would better suit a starter from a different region? Are there any gym leaders that you think would suit a Pokémon outside of the type they specialise in?
It could be for any reason, such as personality or character design, or maybe you don't have a reason besides liking the idea of a character with a certain Pokémon.

 

I had a quick look around bulbapedia and you make a good point, hmm. To have a Magmar as his main Pokémon in the anime but no Magmar at all in RBY and FRLG seems kind of strange.
On the plus side, he has one in all of his other appearances! I guess it would've been a bit strange to add in a Magmar for FRLG when his team didn't include one in RBY.
