I use google docs for the planning and to write short ideas down so I won't forget, but the bulk of my writing is done in Microsoft word.
I use fanfiction.net docs. They're not exactly the most ideal, since they don't detect sentence or punctuation errors, and if you don't save the documents in the span of ninety days, they'll be automatically deleted. Occasionally I use Microsoft Word for backup, or for checking sentence and punctuation errors (although Word itself is not 100% at detecting said mistakes either).
Not that I write often, but when I do, it's usually on good old pen and paper! I'm the kind of person who keeps a small notepad on me at all times.
I use Google Docs because its pretty useful and accessible overall. I typically then move them to Fanfiction.net for when I make final edits to post.
I....don't really use software packages for my writing. Rippp. I write RP stuff on tumblr, but I never save it offline or anything.
I use google docs, it saves my work automatically since I know I will forget. I later run it through Grammarly and hope they catch all my mistakes.
I now use Microsoft Word, but before buying it, I used Open Office as it was free to download. It was basically the same as Word, except slightly worse.
I use Google docs because I’m too lazy to import Microsoft Word onto my MacBook. If I’m on my phone with no WiFi, I use notes.
I switch between google docs and Word. I like the formatting on Word a lot, but docs has more portability.
Yep, if I write something it's either on Docs or Word. Though I don't remember if my Microsoft Office has expired though...
I usually like writing on Google Docs since it is the easiest way to send it to other people for them to edit, give advice, etc. But I also bring a small notebook around in case I have an idea that I want to write down.
I use OpenOffice for all my typing. It's free, does what I need it to do, and has consistently worked for me. Also, I use regular paper and pens. No matter how much technology advances (nor how much my muse prefers typing), I like the feel of a pen flowing across the paper.
I only use Word lol, at least for actual storywriting. For quick notes and concepts I usually hit up Google Docs, because then I have access from my phone as well.
Google docs is, for me, my go-to program. I don't have to keep emailing a document to myself every time I switch computers (which is fairly common). Also it works on phones if I want to write on the bus or something along the lines.
