This fairly recent release on the WiiU has been a huge hit with some fans, but not as much with others. A lot of people have questioned its rather unusual OST, but it seems to get generally positive reviews overall.

What do you think of Xenoblade Chronicles X? How much have you played it? Who is your favorite character?

I have played it only a little bit, but I'd really love to play it some more. It's a pretty phenomenal game overall, with an interesting plot, battle system, and an amazing world to explore. I mean, I haven't had that much fun exploring an open world like that since Skyrim came out (and that has been nearly 5 years). I really like Elma, I think she makes a good protagonist, and I'm a big fan of the character customization, I really enjoyed that part of it. It's a game I'll definitely be looking to play in the near future.

Oh maaaaaan, this game has been my life for the past 7 months or so. I have multiple accounts with hundreds of hours clocked into the game, and I'm still not burnt out on it yet. The world is amazing, I can't get enough of it- each continent is unique and huge, with so many areas to explore and different species to encounter. My favorite has to be Noctilum, the sheer diversity in that continent alone is incredible. Huge waterfalls, giant glowing trees and other flora, massive caves, cliffs everywhere, not to mention it is home to the most powerful and iconic enemy in the game. Sylvalum is a close second, though.

As for characters, obviously Elma is great because she's pretty much the main character, and Lin is awesome as well. My favorite party member minus the main cast, though, is Yelv. His backstory is really sad, plus he's a genuinely great character. His final affinity mission messed me up, man. I won't say why because it's MAJOR spoilers for the game to anyone who hasn't completed Chapter 5 and his final affinity mission, so I'll just say be prepared for shenanigans.

The OST was weird to me at first, but it's seriously grown on me. Now I can't get enough of the music, haha. Some of my favorites include the Sylvalum night theme, the final boss theme, and the theme that plays when you fight Ganglion members in a skell.

I love the gameplay so much, as well. If you have the time and effort to put into grinding for good builds in this game, you can do some seriously crazy things with it. A recent build I made can two-shot the strongest tyrant in the game, and one-shot the second-strongest, as well. I'm currently working on a build to take down the tyrant with 100,000,000 HP that can hit through Decoy, so I'll see how that goes, haha.

But yes, Xenoblade Chronicles X is an amazing game, and a great spiritual sequel to my favorite game of all time. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys open-world exploration and interesting combat systems.

As a major fan of the original, I was really excited for the second game in the series and it did not disappoint! The world is sooo huge for a Wii U game and looks amazing too. The gameplay is also a ton of fun, despite being super complicated, and keep me coming back when I'm bored. It's by far the largest and most grand game on the Wii U and I think everyone should give it a try. My favorite character is probably Lao. Hard to go into too much detail because Xenoblade has always had a big focus on story and characters so I don't want to spoil anything.
