Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde; What did you think of them?

Xerneus is my favorite by far, i just wish he had a better signature move, i don't set up during the main game so geomancy is pretty worthless too me. I didn't use it on my original run though because gardevior was already on my team and i didn't want to replace her. I did end up using it in a nuzlocke though after SOMEONE (im looking at you lysandre) got an iron head crit on my floette with a mega gyrados. Never used yveltal though, but i do like his design for what it is just like xerneus' more for its originality. As for zygarde...he isn't too great

 

I never used them, but they're pretty interesting!

I think what draws me to them is that they're based off Norse mythology. More specifically, Yggdrasil!
Yveltal is the nameless bird that lives in the top of the tree, Xerneas represents the four stags, and Zygarde represents the wyrm/snake that lives under the tree.

Yveltal's my favorite, I like birds haha.

 

Looking back at the games, I don't really like them anymore
The only thing that does interest me is their origin (Norse mythology, yaay )
When I first had to choose between X and Y, I chose X because I liked Xerneas's design. If I have to choose a favourite now, I would choose Xerneas because of that same reason.

 

Zygarde is easily my favourite gen. 6 Pokémon to date. Haven't really used it in battle much but I find its design to be so rad.

 

Well, this may be a little type-bias, but my favourite out of the three is Yveltal. I also love how his signature looks in game. I only use him on my team to help my other Pokémon level up.

 

Actually, I never used any of them in my in-game team. I don't like having legendary Pokémon in my party. However, I have used each of them in at least 3 competitive teams.

My first impression on Yveltal was that it looked pretty badass. But at the same time, I thought it was going to be boring if I chose it because I felt that everyone else would choose it too. So yeah, even if I'm not a huge Yveltal fan, I still do use it in my Ubers competitive battling team from time to time.

On the other hand, I thought Xerneas looked elegant and somewhat colorful. I also thought it would be cool to get it since it had the new Fairy type. It's one of the few legendary Pokémon I really like. I use it in almost all of my Ubers teams.

Zygarde was kinda meh. I just caught it and left it in my PC. Never really bothered looking at it. I even sold it here on Lake Valor since I didn't want to use it. xD I mean, its design isn't so bad, but maybe if it had some kind of story, I might be interested a little. But I must say, it's sometimes a very good Pokémon to use in UU.

 

I love Xerneas! It's so pretty and I've always loved nature/life-giving Pokémon so it automatically became my favorite. Yveltal is also really cool with aweeesome-looking moves. Wish Zygarde had more screentime.. that's part of why I'm so anxious for a Kalos remake focused on it since the thing is so forgettable right now. =(

 

I thought they were fine! Unfortunately, they didn't stand out against any other legendary but then again, not many do for me. Yvetal is fun to play with and he's our adorable slice of Bacon. Xerneas is Satan in competitive play but a good Pokémon in game and Zygrade has some potential

 

Zygarde and Xerneas are tied for my favorite of the three, but overall, I really like all of them. I never used my Xerneas once I caught it since I don't ever use the mascot legendaries in my team, but I'm pretty content with just hanging onto it for now. I think that a lot more could have been done with them in the game's main story, though, since they really had a lot of potential to make for an interesting plot focus.

 

Zygard I used a little bit for the enter the dragon tournament but Yveltal is my main bro of the group. And that shiny form, what's bettle than a Pokémon that looks like bacon? I also enjoyed his back story even if it was a bit... morbid and dark. I don't know but something about yveltal just draws me in, like a black hole or something y'know?
