So I was minding my own business, slacking off when I was shown the Xrite Color test. Basically this lil test involves moving panels of varying colors so that they make gradient colors. You then input your gender and age range and get compared with others in your range to see how well you did (unfortunately for me, the numbers glitched out so I have no idea how well I did in my bracket haha). There are tests with a similar idea to them but this one in particular caught my eye.

If you took the test, what score did you get? Did you enjoy the test or was it a painful experience? I personally got a 6 on the test, which I'm pretty pleased about haha. I overall had good fun with this, I'm really into this sort of thing/

My score was 24, which wasn't so great. I guess I just can't see violets and blues well. Funny thing that they're both my favorite colors. Yikes.

And here I thought this was going to be a test on colour-blindness. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that it is not. Truly, a mental challenge. Let's see... After some time of straining my eyes, let me record my result.

I scored a 12. The areas of error were between red and orange, amongst the lighter blues and purples, and amongst pinks - I basically had 3 sections with 4 'bars' each. I appear to have had no problems at all with the other colours, so it seems my largest issue comes mostly around lighter shades of red - which isn't too surprising, as I had the most trouble with the fourth row.

Now to steal and clone Nauris' eyes.

Edit: Upon noticing the results of other people, the bars I had each had a height of 1 unit.

I got 15... ain't that bad, I suppose. It's kinda strange that I'm weak with the colour red and blue. They're some of my preferred colours.

Let's see. I can usually perfectly distinguish between colours, and I've been told my sister and I had perfect vision and ears. So am I correct?

    My score:

    A seven!!

I had the most trouble distinguishing between greens and blues and blues and violets. I wonder if this is a good score.

I got a 42. I can't even see my favorite color that well! Why, why did you do this to me genetics?

Edit: I was dumb enough to tkae the test with dirty glasses. my original score was 65 but once I cleaned them and scooted closer I was able to bump it up to a 42. Still pretty terrible but it's something? what's even more interesting? when I retook the test my bad areas shifted. kinda figures because my far and near sigh stink but my mid range vision is good. Why does this matter? ever heard of red and blue shift? red shift makes things appear closer while blue shif makes things appear farther away. For people like me who only have good mid range vision that makes a lot of details harder to make out. therefore it's hard for me to get an accurate reading from this test. I'd say it's fun to see but this test alone cannot tell you how good your color vision is. good game though.

Oh my, I got an 18. I really thought I'd do better but I guess it's still quite above average (I think) so I can make do with that. xP Thankfully, I seem to have done well in the colours I like, and not so much in the ones I don't. XD

I don't think that's right. o: Red shift and blue shift occur when the source (your screen) or the observer (you) or both are in motion relative to each other, and you'd have to be moving pretty fast relative to your screen for it to actually effect your perception of colour. I think it's more like your glasses reflect the light at different angles and you have to be at certain angles/distances to let enough light through to your eyes.

Uuugh... I stared too long at those rows of blocks. They all seem to move in all kinds of positions, welp. I guess I'm gonna leave it at this and see what score I get.

I'm kinda disappointed in myself... oh well, I guess all that matters is that I am able to discern colors.

I got 15. I'm pleased, since it was actually rather hard.
