    Well, Sony's precious space faring duo have made the leap to the PS4 now, this time with a game that's both a remake and a reimagining of the first PS2 game. Read: a completely fresh start for the series.

    I know there's a movie on the way too, but this is strictly gonna be for the game as it's now out in the USA and it's on the way to Europe soon.

    So! Who's got it? Who wants to get the game? Thoughts on the unanimously positive reviews it's been receiving, in particular the 'plays like a Pixar movie' comments?

    I'm more than likely gonna duck out of this thread until I'm able to play the game myself, which isn't for another week! Grrr! But the demo was cool!

    Discuss!

    Whaat, I had no idea there was a demo!! But anyways, I've yet to get the game either-- I'm waiting for my birthday in 2 weeks! But anyways, I've followed this franchise since it began many years ago, and I'm utterly excited for the new game and the movie tbh.

    Is "plays like a pixar movie" meant to be an insult or a compliment?? I'd imagine a compliment, since Pixar graphics always look pretty amazing (altho imo R&C games have always looked beautiful-- The graphics have always been my fave out of any game).

    Having a right ol' time down at the hoverboard race tracks too. Look at how the AI trolls me by overtaking me twice at the last second on each hoverboard track;

    And then see as I spend the bones of an hour trying (and failing) to beat Rilgar's course in under 95 seconds...

    I just got this game last night!! It's so beautiful, yeah?? It's the perfect remake the first game that was seriously needed! It's got just enough stuff from the first game to bring on a lovely nostalgia feel, but enough new stuff to make it refreshing and very entertaining.

    Just to give you a lil' idea of where I'm at, I've just arrived on planet Aridia! :) Searching for Skidd's agent atm!! And trying to collect Gold Bolts haha. I'm a little sad that the only "skin changes" you can perform on ratchet are masks :( I remember in the days of Up Your Arsenal, you could transform into a snowman. I was hoping I'd be able to do that again ahh!! But some of the other extra features look cool too, like bolt design changes :o

    Someone I know has been playing through the new Ratchet & clank, and has the RYNO already after only a couple days of play. In true RYNO fashion, it plays beautiful classical music as it rains down unholy destruction.

    Sadly I don't recognise the song, so for anyone with an ear for music (or if you know someone who does), can you figure out what piece this is from? I'm genuinely curious, as it sounds like a piece I should have heard before, but can't for the life of me figure it out.
