Revival Herb. You can buy unlimited Max Revives with only slight drawbacks only effecting Pokémon who evolve due to friendship or have the move Return. The Ultra Beasts were a pretty fun concept that could have been further explored, but I am happy with the ones we got. My favorite has to be Kartana, just barely over Stakataka. Unless the Cosmog evolution line counts, then Solgaleo. My least favorite is Guzzlord, but I don’t really dislike it, I just don’t like it that much.
I know it’s received some hate for making the game too easy, but I personally love the change. It makes raising Pokémon in the postgame a lot easier, and can help keep your entire team roughly the same level. I understand the criticism it gets, but it is optional to turn on and off, so in the main game it’s more of a handicap for players with less skill, namely the younger target audiences, as opposed to long term fans. It could also be very helpful in speed runs, but I don’t see those done with Pokémon very often. Casual players often enjoy not needing to grind wild Pokémon, so this is a solid alternative that I hope stays for their sake. I usually don’t use it until the postgame but I am pleased with the change.
If a Z Crystal is what is on Mega Rayquaza, it's probably for the best. Rather that than a Choice Scarf, Assault Vest, HP restoring berry, etc. It can already oneshot everything as it is. I don't know what a pumbloom is.
I am proud of a lot here. My performances in the two Summer Scrambles (a month long series of online cooperative events in July with the members divided into teams), my overall activity and all the friendships I've made, winning a Tetris competition, and a lot of other stuff. But I'm most proud of my honesty on the site. I genuinely believe everything I put out here for you guys, and that makes it all the better. If I comment my approval, you know that I'm not just trying to be nice. I am known in real life for my brutal honesty, and I am glad to say that it's mostly intact online, I just phrase my criticism more constructively.
As much as I prefer Team Rocket, I believe Team Flare has an advantage here, as Lysander has much more team variety than Giovanni, and his Grunts are slightly better equipped.
On a scale of 1-10, rate every Pokémon gen, with 1 being terrible and 10 being 10/10 - would play again, and 7 being 7/10 - too much water.
Gen 1: 2.5 (Good rival, bad almost everything else. Tons of glitches, OP Psychics, etc.) Gen 2: 6.5 (Huge improvements in everything, but still not the most visually appealing.) Gen 3: 7 (Too much water, and rivals stink. Rest is slightly improved. Good Gen 1 remake.) Gen 4: 8.5 (Physical/Special split helps a ton, and good villains and huge design improvements make it great. Awesome Gen 2 remake.) Gen 5: 9 (Huge design improvements, awesome villains, N, and a great sequel.) Gen 6: 5.5 (Better design, Fairy type, and megas, but everything else falls flat. Decent Gen 3 remakes, but not stellar.) Gen 7: 8.5 (Amazing plot in original, amazing gameplay in "enhanced" version. Lillie, Lusamine, Guzma, and Gladion. Z-moves, trials, design improvements, etc. Weighed down by lack of postgame in original and lack of good plot in sequel.)
When I found Lillie wasn't coming to Exeggutor Island in USUM, and when I ran out of power in BW2 after beating Drayden, Team Plasma, and Marlin without saving. I rage quit the entire game after, going back to BW until Gen 6 came out.
