We all think a brave Pokémon is a Pokémon that is super strong,it has a cool appearance, all those things which you always want in a team. But I'm not talking about looks or natures,I'm talking about actions.Has there ever been a Pokémon that was on the brink of fainting,in that crucial match and it used all it's strength and stayed alive(without Sturdy XD !)just so you could kick Gary's ass!Have you ever had one of these awesome Pokémon?

My Black 2 Nuclocke, my Cinccino.

That thing was a monster, it had Skill Link. Stab Tail Slap 5 times baby.

Fighting Iris, that Haxorus. D Dance Earthquake sent me down to 1HP. I almost lost my baby.

Then Tail slapped it into oblivion.

I've got a lot actually, probably because I tend to be a tad reckless "oh, only 10 HP left? Doesn't matter, I've still got another Pokémon". Those moments really make my heart race, especially if it's a nuzlocke.

One of these moments was actually in a nuzlocke. I was playing a Platinum nuzlocke, and I was up against Cynthia. I intentionally saved my best Pokémon, a Garchomp, to be up against Cynthia's own Garchomp. I considered all the possibilities, gave him a Haban berry, weakened Cynthia's own Garchomp with Toxic and stat-lowering moves.

Despite the level difference (which was about 10 levels), I was sure I could win this in one or two Dragon Claws.

I called back my Floatzel, sent out my Garchomp in return. I pressed Dragon Claw in my DS, and anxiously waited. Naturally, Cynthia's Garchomp got to attack first. Sandstorm. A sigh of relief was released. My Garchomp replied with Dragon Claw, which took down about 2/3 of the other Garchomp's HP.

I knew I would win this. Dragon Rush wouldn't be able to OHKO my Garchomp. Not with the Haban Berry equipped.

Pressed Dragon Claw again. Waited for the opponent to use Dragon Rush, which it did. It hit, and I anticipated for it to cut down my Pokémon's HP to around 50%. It rolled down. The green box changed to yellow. Then to red. I was stunned, this wasn't supposed to happen. It went on and on until only about 10 HP remained. "A critical hit!" appeared on the screen.

My Garchomp used Dragon Claw. Miss.

I remembered, Sandstorm was still in effect, and both the Garchomp had Sand Veil.

I feared for the life of my Dragon. Another hit would definitely kill him. I pressed Dragon Claw and waited. "The foe's Garchomp used Dragon Rush!"

    "Hydra avoided the attack!"

Hydra the Garchomp then finished off Cynthia's own, and I had officially beaten the champion.

This is one of the many times this occurred to me.

    Two for me.

The first my little Starly, Star (original I know), poor thing didn't get any attention from me was only level 12 by the time I got to Gardenia. I lost against her twice because I relied to much on Pippy my piplup (i swear i'm better at nicknaming now) and one other Pokémon that i can't remember. I went in for a third try and managed to take down her first 2 Pokémon but lost one Pokémon and pippy was close to death. She sent out her roserade and finished off pippy and I though i was dead again. Sent out star and started wing attacking, got one and then recieved a magical leaf. I had one turn left, wing attacked again for a crit. Dead roserade. Star grew to level 15 and evolved. Won a spot on my team for good and is now my favorite region bird.

The other is Lil'Light my ampharos from Soul Silver. Fun fact it took me 20+ tried to beat the elite 4. Lil'Light is the reason I finally did. Fast forwarding to the end of my battle with Lance he had the last dragonite against Lil'Light who was at 1/2 health, both of us at our last Pokémon. He hit me bringing me to 1/4 health then was affected by static. I hit him with thunderbolt (out of power gems at this point) for decent damage. Then he just couldn't move for what seemed like forever and I got him to red. Then he finally got a dragon rush in, I watched as Lil'Lights health went to red then stopped at 2 hp. I cheered and cried as his dragonite fell (getting strange looks from people, don't get emotional at dress rehearsal for a musical people worry about you) Long live my Lil'Light all my mareeps from then on have been named in honor of this ampharos, my new favorite electric type Pokémon.

Tweety, my empoleon. He was always a trooper, and one of the more powerful Pokémon on my team. I loved him because he could take hits about as well as he could dish them out, and in gen 4 before the steel nerf he resisted nearly everything.

I reached the Pokémon league in Pearl with my team at level 45. By the time I fought my way up to Cynthia, my average level was only 53. Cynthia's team was averaged at level 70.

It was a rough fight. My gengar took out her spiritomb but got wrecked by her garchomp, which proceeded to kill everything but my gyarados and empoleon. My gyarados got it with an ice fang and got me through to her milotic, but it killed my very weakened gyarados with an ice beam.

I only had empoleon left, and she only had milotic left. I couldn't do much to her with my moves, and her aqua ring+recover negated my damage easily. She couldn't do much to me either, however, and my sparse remaining healing items kept Tweety alive when it got close.

In the end, I was able to keep Tweety just barely alive long enough for her milotic to struggle to death. Tweety was close to struggling himself. It was probably the most intense and yet drawn out battle I ever had, clocking in at about 1 hour of length total to beat Cynthia.

What I learned from this is that if you scream encouragement at your DS it gives you luck and also I need to get into exp grinding better in the early game. And never doubt the steel penguin king.

Ah, Linoone and Pelliper, you will always be in my dreams.
Those two saved me when I was about to restart my Pokémon Emerald after migrating all the Pokémon to sinnoh, and then I saw something in those two. Turns out, I was right, and they eventually won the league, and saved me a bunch of times. Too bad I couldn't migrate them.
The Best time those two saved me was Mosdeep's gym, Tate and Liza. They both had like 30hp left by the time the battle was over.

Is it bad I'm going to talk about my hm slave?
I mean being that last Pokémon on my team while fighting the Champion of Sinnoh and being used as healing bait is pretty brave. Thankfully Bibarel survived an attack so I could heal another Pokémon. I mean that's pretty brave to sacrifice yourself for the greater good.

Oh haha, I remember in XY when it came out. See, I had this one Pokémon in my team, Furfrou, and it was a Shiny one. The first shiny I caught in the first 5 Minutes of the game. Anyway, I was in Diantha's room. I was left with two Pokémon, Shiny Dog and Mega Luke, whuch was almost dead anyway. Out comes Tyrantrum and kills Mega Luke. Bye. Out comes Shiny Dog, and completely walls every move it hit on me. So I kinda won using status moves and Headbutt Spam. Or was it Strength. Somewhere between those lines. Ever since I have a Shiny Dog in my team just because it can completely wall almost anything it faces.

Caelan my shedinja was a beast. Sure it has wonder guard which makes it hard to kill to begin with but agaist the champion who definitly had some super effective moves I had maxed out Affection with all my Pokémon on my team except Caelan Shedinja are hard to max affection with because the don't eat which means its all belly rubs which takes way longer than feeding + belly rubs. Acctually to get that last heart of affection its insanely difficult. I tried but I just couldn't manage it before the elite four. So I'm in there and Caelan is my last Pokémon I try and attack and it misses I think I'm dead a super effective move hits it all over except He toughs it out for me and I end up winning the match. Great Pokémon the first bug Pokémon I've ever had as a permenant team member.

    Ahhhh, definitely my Garchomp Rafiel.

I bred him in XY, when I had no knowledge of IV breeding. I used the first male Garchomp that hatched (I prefer the back notch) and EV trained him, and then leveled him to 100. I've used him in countless battles, and it wasn't until I knew how to IV breed that I realized he had exactly 3 perfect IVs: HP, Attack, and Speed. Which were what I trained him in.

Fast forward to when I gained more competitive knowledge. I had a team of competitively viable Pokémon, but I never got rid of Rafiel despite his 3 IVs. I gave him a Choice Scarf to outspeed threats to him, mostly for Greninja.

He accompanied me in numerous battles, but there was one Multi that stood out, and I'm sure @[member="Karzarill"] would agree. Karz had out a weakened Pyroar, and I do believe there was a Charizard X and something else out on the field. I hit Earthquake, and with the Scarf, Rafiel was the fastest and completely wiped the field. The 3 other Pokémon went down to that EQ.

I felt kinda guilty for taking out Karz's Pokémon, but I was completely surprised at the field wipe. And that's what's really memorable to me with Rafiel.
